That's what I think. It would be very cool if the wings were articulated!

I love that Gargamel brings the heat to SDCC, they could just roll out some new colorway but instead they always go bigger than the year before. I just wish I could be there! It looks like it is going to be a good year!

i hope those two pics of the new standard sculpt are not only going to be available as customs. they both look like the same figure. can't wait to see it.

yeah, maybe not--but adding a little texture would make it more fun at standard size.

Just a theory but maybe because of licensing issues..they changed the deathra JUST enough to make it completely "different." Maybe it's not hair but feathers? And/or they just got tired of using the zagoran, mibora, bako body.


But my theory is unfounded..it does look like it has 1 eye and horns and wings though.

I'm excited for a brand new figure regardless. I just hope that it won't be limited like the mibora.

These definitely look like the same figure - same teeth, same horns/tufts on the side of the neck and just below and behind. Kind of has Woo like hair/fur. First pic looks like a single eye ala Deathra. Second pic looks like maybe articulated wings (thought they were tentacles at first but now I'm thinking wings). So not exactly a mini Deathra scaled up but could be a different expansion of the same figure (like Hindu/Buddhist/Shinto Gods/Deities/Avatars/Manifestations). Looks like it has plenty of potential whatever it turns out to be.

the standard deathras do look good painted especially the black silverish one i believe the wings are articulated. gargamel alone will be enough reason to be at SDCC, some really nice stuff for their american fans. i hope they remember to do the same for their japan based fans at the anniversary next month

didn't think the added texture was going to be a bad thing actually i am looking forward to it. i can see not using the same body as the zag they would have to had changed the body regardless cos it looks like the wings are seperate pieces and articulated (at least thats what i am getting from the pic)
