What a time to be tongue tied! The rest of this nonsense- I dunno if its real or if its fake, but either way you're bringing it to SB and people are going to think its real and the vagueness of all the posts are going to lead to people jumping to conclusions and making judgments of a lot of regulars/contributors/mods. I hope to see a "Just kidding" post or some explanation soon! Phil

Whether it's my place or not, I agree with Phil. Not cool to drop shit like that all vague and not clear the air one way or another.

Re: Dump Any SDCC News Here That Doesn't Warrant a New Thread
Dear Toymaker,
You had a special sale event at this years SDCC. As someone that collects some off your figures I came early to your event in the hopes of purchasing one or two of your smaller figures. I was the fourth person in line and waited with a handful of other people for 45 minutes while you set up your presentation and chatted with the first people in line. I and others around me were getting excited with each new piece you unwrapped. It was when you opened up the line for sales that my mood went sour. I and the other people around me were floored when you proceeded to let the first two people in line walk away with about 15 of the smaller figures (these two people were together and had been chit-chatting with you prior to your opening.) I feel that this blatant act of greediness was a slap in the face to the other fans that had waited all that time in line. Perhaps these guys are super collectors of your toys. Good for you if that is the case but you could have at least had the common courtesy to not have the rest of us be witness to this hoarding ritual. You should have just invited them to your hotel room and let them have everything, sight unseen, with no expectations from other fans. As a point of information I am not some fly by night fan of yours and on one occasion traveled from LA to SF to be at one of your shows. The real gut-puncher was when I related my disappointment to you and you just shrugged your shoulders like "what am I gonna do?" I can't think of single other toy event at Comic Con that I attended where they let the first person in line scoop up almost the entire stock of a particular line. I am hoping that this is just one isolated incident on your part and that you were caught up in the moment . I just thought you should get a different perspective on how things went down.

I would want other fellow collectors to get a crack at something. lame connell....really too bad.

I was going to say something but at first I seriously thought it was a joke cause the first guy could hardly hold them all in both his hands. After it dawned on me that it was for real I was sort of dumbstruck and by then they were already paying at the register. Just to quell some of the speculation. It was NOT at Gargamel, Super7, or any of the events at the O,nell booth that Data/Don put on.
