Re: Butanohana Ultraman I've got a question I've been wondering about for a while and this seems like a relatively appropriate place for it. What's the story with the Butanohana x Gargamel Thrashman? I assume he's a bootleg Ultraman? Where'd the name come from? Any other miscellaneous information? Several color variations but here's one that looks most Ultraman-ish.  and another w/ different variations  pics from Fiends Ain't Family

Thrash man has always been the dshopp chafarver fo Thrash Out and has been done in several configurations and colors - this one most deftly leans to Uman. I love BHH's dudes, his Thunder Mask, his Vacuum cleaner guy and some older pachi hero stuff had assays been on my want list, Further out on a limb the Gargamel Shop/Studio in Koenji is call Thrash Out - perhaps a nod to the previous proprietors penchant for always playing thrash music in the store. Going out on a limb the Japanese vinyl process is called Slush molding - in romanzied japanese Slush and Thrash sound very similar.
