Post For all you Skull Wing fans
When I was in NY last week I was talking to the guy at High Five. We were talking about SB and he told me how Toy Tokyo couldn't get rid of Skull Wings or any other SB over a year ago. He said they literally had buckets of red and glow versions that weren't selling.

I tried to order the glow/spray one from them on 2 different occasions..
lets say its one of the reasons I stopped dealing with them..
I also remember they had the red on the website for a while but the price seemed a bit high (at the time... duh)

I got a secreter off the TT website for about $60 within the last two months...
Said they found it in the backroom and just threw it up on the site.

And in the post-SB collapse there will be buckets and buckets of Skullwings to purchase. When tin toys or something else become the next big thing.

I bought the green Skullwing there about 6 months ago. Brian at High 5 is a cool guy. Very easy to deal with.

Ha ha. Too true. I think it'll go even farther back, though, like hand-carved wooden soldiers.

about a year ago I built (along with some great people from TT) their main warehouse in queens. Or at least the offices and such. There really were boxes of SB stuff that wasn't moving at all. I'm amazed at how fast they burned through their stock! I knew I should have taken advantage of that situation :D

at the time they were pricing stuff way higher than everyone else. Now those prices would seem like bargins. I can't tell you how mant times I had a few SB figures in my basket and then decided to wait for a beter deal.

I think for the most part I found better deals. I can't even remember scoring my red skullwing becasue it was not a big deal.
