Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
Silent Hill, 2 and 3 were all excellent in differing ways. The last two installments I thought were pretty weak.

The Room was good, I just hated that you had to run through everything all over again. I haven't played the fifth one yet, but I hear Shattered Memories is good and even scarier cause you cant really fight back. I also haven't played Origins. This reminds me that I have to catch up on the ones I missed.

gforce wrote: Silent Hill, 2 and 3 were all excellent in differing ways. The last two installments I thought were pretty weak. Yes! Those are total classics, I have a hard time picking a favorite between the two. As for the latest games, 4 had so much potential but just fell apart halfway through and 5 was just embarrassing. The American team that made that game seemed to completely miss the point of everything that made the Silent Hill series great...without claustrophobic environments and a sense of helpless panic it's just an action game with monsters. At the very least Akira Yamaoka still composed the music... For anyone that doesn't mind the outdated graphics, the first Silent Hill on Playstation is absolutely worth playing. I put it off for years because I didn't think it could possibly be as creepy/atmospheric as the sequels, but it was awesome. (As long as I'm ranting about Silent Hill, I should recommend "Jacob's Ladder" to anyone interested in seeing one of the films that inspired the series.)

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
I enjoyed SH: Origins. It had the creepy factor that Homecoming did not. Shattered Memories was fun, played through several times, worth the $20 I paid. Now if only someone would make a Pyramid Head figure.

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
I played L4D2 for the first time in like 2 months and got CREAMED! Sucked ass, I gotta get back on that.
Borderlands was $10 on Steam the other day so I had to grab it. I wasn't totally freaking for it off the 10 min. I played when it first hit but that was 10 min. of it and for $10 I figured it was worth checking out full out.

Hahaha Bert! I have to agree with him. It's a great Game! It can get quite challenging at times but it's fun all the way through. If you like River City Ransom or Double Dragon, you're gonna love Scott Pilgrim! You buy it now!

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
I got a copy of Madden 11 with my PS3 and we're not going to play it. It's still shrinkwrapped and the only difference is that it doesn't have the regular barcode on the back. $50 shipped. hope this isn't offtopic.

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
I know I'm late to it, but finally got a chance to start playing Arkham Asylum this weekend. This game is a blast. Loved the fact I didn't know where the cinematic ended and the game began.
The fighting style is fun, too. And the fact that there are a lot of things you can't accomplish with an offensive attack adds some great texture to the game.
Put in a few hours on Crackdown 2 as well, but I'm going to wait until I've had a chance to play online with friends to give it a rating. It's definitely interesting now, but I get the feeling it's going to be a lot more fun with friends.

Everybody just tubes with one man army. Annoying as fuck. Considering trading mine in, since Halo Reach is releasing soon. Maddie and I are really enjoying Borderlands at the moment. Great game with a lot of replay value.

Upside is I just got internet 4x faster then I did have so I'll finally be back on as well as on my PC playing. Downside is everyone I know will be playing Halo instead of 1 of the 4 games I play.

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
I've been playing through the Metal Gear Solid series from start to finish. I beat 1-3 within the past coupla months, now I'm finally up to 4, and about half way or so through it.
Also, I'm currently replaying Jet Set Radio Future for the Xbox and Earthbound for SNES. Both games are so incredibly good.

No tranquilizers, and all you had was mainly the knock, and run around technique. No need for dog tags and also includes the best villains of the entire series, IMO.
