Am I a man dreaming I'm a butterfly, or a butterfly dreaming I'm a man?

I got around to seeing this and have a feeling I missed something.
I agree with BD, spoil it and clue me in.

^^ that one is great!

I thought Inception was a pretty good movie - entertaining, involving, well-made.. but I also saw Moon this week. Now that's an excellent film.

I have to agree with you on that one. Moon was probably my favorite movie last year.

^ Damn it - I bought a copy of Moon - and I can't find it... buried somewhere...

As for Inception - it was well made, well acted - but it didn't really make a huge impression on me, to be honest.
But better than most crap that's pumped out over the summer. Worth a punt, if you've time to kill.

Ya know I felt for him the whole movie now that I'm a father but YEAH?! WTF?! Why didn't they just live with him France or Japan or ANYWHERE ON EARTH THAT'S NOT THE US!? That's a HUGE plot hole, unless I missed some lazy ass excuse to cover it up.

The kids probably couldn't be moved without some authority noticing where they were going.

I'll add to the Moon love... I had seen the posters for it, and figured it was some neat sci-fi film, whatever, but when I finally got around to watching it, I was floored. So goddamn good, with a phenomenal minimalist production style, great effects and model work, and just some damn good writing. Rockwell killed it.

But if they worked a way for their GRANDFATHER to get custody of them and couple that with the fact that he lives in France or something it'd be totally NOT weird, who'd care? Otherwise why wouldn't they just keep an eye on Cain all the time if they suspected he'd run into Leo? WTF?!

My first impression after seeing it was pretty similar. I appreciate the movie for being so well crafted, and would recommend it based on that alone. I respect any movie that's ambitious and well made. Probably why The Fountain is one of my absolute favorite movies ever. Upon seeing Inception a second time, my opinion actually improved. Best movie of the year? I haven't seen much, but I would still say no. Best major Hollywood release in a long time? Almost definitely.

Yeah a few things didn't add up in my mind. On top of the whole why don't the kids just visit him. But I guess you could pass that off as he's a fugitive and he wouldn't want to put them in danger. One thing I didn't get and I'm just asking it here since no one started a spoiler thread. Possible Spoiler Alert ahead.

Saito's age difference in limbo...didn't he enter Limbo a second before everyone else, how did he end up an old man when no one else seemed to age.

He entered a few min. before. He "died" before Fischer did and so was there longer, but Fischer should have aged too since he was there a min. or so longer then the rest.

STOP ASKING QUESTIONS IT WAS A FUN MOVIE DAMMIT!

Like, time moves faster, man!

No, but yeah, he was in there for far longer in limbo years... just like how the entire snow fight takes place during the van's free fall.

I remember at the very beginning, they said don't kill him he'll go to limbo and age blah blah blah. But he didn't go to limbo until like a second before the van hit's the water. Aging 10 years? ok I'll buy it. But he must have aged like 40 years at least. Just seemed a little too old. Made me think I missed something.

I thought they did the 'math' at one point for the time-level conversion rate... the young (very pretty) girl made a point of being shocked by the limbo time rate.
