Pretty nice. I like the colors. Not so sure about where you chose to cut off certain colors though, like the transitioning, and I really wish I didn't know what was under there, it hurts my soul..

dedoperucelli wrote: dustin wrote: What does it look like in the dark? Got any glow pics? no GID,I have covered everything Thats kind of a waste of the GID vinyl. The colors are kinda of plain and ...they don't pop or anything. They just kind of lay there. I think it would have been 10x better if the face glowed a tiny bit or something.

 Re: custom sludge demon
i agree, that's a complete waste of not only gid vinyl, but a one off hand paint no less! yikes! if you didn't like the color, why did you buy it? i'm sure it could have ended up with someone else who actually wants it badly.

Like a certain guy named named e.vom who has it on his want list!!! Besides me, plenty of people would have loved to have that and possibly could have traded you an unpainted GID one for it. And I'm with Ultra, why did you buy it if you didn't like the color? It's quite obvious what it looks like based on the photo.

I have to say that it happened more than once to be disappointed by a toy once I have it on hands...The light you put on a toy for a photo is way more intense than natural light...

 Re: custom sludge demon
about the way to use a toy i think is irrelevant, for me if you like the custom is ok if you don't like is ok however. How many expensive toy customed sucks ( for my taste obviuosly) but the artist and the buyer can love it. I Know that Dedo have the chance to buy it in that version so he buy it. he's a great fan of MVH. However i would love if there was some details in GID. May be the next time

 Re: custom sludge demon
guys but what's the problem? from Italy,I don't have many opportunities to find and buy a sludge demon or other japanese kaijus . GID version did not like me from the beginning when I saw it online .... but since I know airbrush, I have the V-COLORS .... I buy and paint the toys I want. if that bothers you ... Fuck you! I will continue to paint what I want. I love the work of MVH ... but not this version GID. if you have any other unpainted sludge to sell let me know! I would just like to read your opinions on color version and I do not need moral lessons ... in Italy we have also the Pope who breaks the balls!

All the Pope and Vatican have been good for are "covering up" all of those pedophile-priest cases, and paying out millions in the faithful's money to the victims. Thats ok though.... the Devil himself will have alot of fun breaking their balls for them, your Pope's too. (if he isnt careful..) signed, A. Valenti.

dedoperucelli wrote: I would just like to read your opinions on color version and I do not need moral lessons ... I find it disappointing that you took a great GID toy and completely covered it with paint. For me, it makes the whole thing seem like a big missed opportunity. It might just be me, but I tend to think of GID toys separately from others. I like to see how well the glow has been incorporated into the paint app overall (both in the light and in the dark) and how the painter used the glow to achieve certain effects or bring out certain elements of the sculpt. You didn't do that at all. The MVH version was obviously painted in such a way that takes into account the GID vinyl. Since yours doesn't, it makes me agree with the folks who say this toy is a "waste." Essentially, your colors could have been painted on any other base color. I firmly believe that it's your toy and you can do whatever you want with it. I'm not gonna come after you for painting on something that you own. It's just that, in this case, you didn't improve what was there or make it more interesting. That's not really gonna go down smooth with the collectors out there who are chasing the GID version. Now, there's just one less MVH one out there for them to add to their collection because some dude who has, "the V-COLORS," decided to paint over one. It's unfortunate because, aside from the GID thing, there's nothing "wrong" with your custom. The colors are fine and all, and the execution actually seems pretty nice. It's just that it seems a bit thoughtless to put this kind of paint job on the GID toy.
