 Re: Danzig talk
This is getting too close to home. I take back any criticism I have flung at Danzig. I liked the mythic out of touch super hero Danzig, not the cake eating, smiling, family man Danzig. It is like if your Aunt wears an ugly Easter dress. Are you gonna say something to her? Congrats Missy you are now officially 100 times cooler than me. I don't have any celeb photos let alone the King of Punk, the True Prince of Darkness...

 Re: Danzig talk
We all make that face next to Danzig. I'm trying to dig up my pic next to him from a store signing. Him sitting at the table signing my whole collection, me looking 150 lbs heavier with a black trench coat. Steve Zing lurking in the back. Good times.
He had a really killer interview back when 7 or Circle hti where he actually talks about his mom and childhood a bit, it was one of the best interviews he's done. It really did take away the whole "I eat wolves and make love to demons" persona we all know, love and sometimes laugh at. I wish there were more close up interviews with him. That's why I hate the ones where the interviewer starts off as a smart ass and attempts to talk about the Misfits, there's so much more to ask the dude!
PS- The S7 interview is one of my favorites.

 Re: Danzig talk
It's so fucking awesome that he's wearing his own shirt. I'm gonna try and go see him in Chicago in Nov. I hope he doesn't know I kind of mock him (out of love!) at times and jump off the stage and bite my head open. Or send a cat after me.

 Re: Danzig talk
it's kind of distressing to see he doesn't bring his own re-usable grocery bags, or use organic kitty litter.

Off topic I have a friend who considers himself a Satanist. He just started being a vegan but can't decide if he thinks he should or shouldn' be due to meat being an "Earthly Pleasure" and all so he's going through this whole weird crisis. He's having similar issues with other ideals of his. Satanist as in atheist who glorifies the image not someone who thinks there is a God and therefor Satan and actually worships that, just wanted to be clear. Nice guy though.

 Re: Danzig talk
So your friend is an atheist who is not a member of the Church of Satan, yet chooses to call himself a Satanist in order to use the imagery?
Did I get that right?
Greasebat, I can count on one hand the number of times I have seen people in my city bring their own sacks into the grocery store.
Hell, no one, not even the women driving expensive cars, put their rolling baskets back where they belong, they just leave them and drive away.
Some people bug out when they see me push an empty cart half-way across the parking lot and put it back. But they still leave theirs...

Been there Down in upstate NY, they think we're aliens if we bring in the bags - even worst with the green shopping Bin. Just forget about the carts ...

 Re: Danzig talk
The push for reusable bags here in ATX is at the behest of retailers who do not want the city to ban plastic ones. (pushing costs on to their customers as usual) " I will use your expensive canvas bags as soon as you give them to me free like your plastic ones!" I betcha Danzig's cat is ALL BLACK.

rockert wrote: I will use your expensive canvas bags as soon as you give them to me free like your plastic ones!" That's what one of our major super markets did recently - 3 free canvas bags for a limited time. Now I feel like an ass whenever I forget to bring them. And they really aren't expensive, they're $1. Spend $5, keep 'em in the car and you should never need to use another plastic bag.

 Re: Danzig talk
I have tons of those bags too, and always forget them at home. Great idea, but i think everyone forgets them and in 20 years we will realize that we made more pollution stockpiling canvas bags.

I dunno, isn't what most Satanists are? They REALLY don't believe in Satan or God but just use the imagery as a sign against authority? That's how I always took it, it was just a cool club with crazy images.
