 Mochi - a Kaiju-themed illustration I made in 2008 Hi all. I just found this flying around on my HD and I thought some of you might get a kick out of it. It's an unfinished illustration I made for a contest in 2008. If I remember correctly the contest's theme was something with movies and monster. Go figure. Here, a Japanese actor in his suit during a lunch break with tea and mochi. Of course, this is a bit of a stretch. Why would that guy need a rest even before he destroyed the city... Actually, I wasn't going for a specific kaiju character (like Godzilla, for example) and it was more the absurdity of the scene itself that I felt was important.

Re: Mochi - a Kaiju-themed illustration I made in 2008 This is awesome! I see what Bryce means bout the pig-nose... but the way the nose struck me was that of a traditional japanese dragon, rather than a dinosaur. I dig it and would love to see this as a print
