Bwana's new dude Randall (and Boris)
I'm not sure if this is the final body, looks like a globby body, but looks right to me! I think he's gonna debut at Thrashout Bearturds show next month or so. Supposed to be a Boris the Bee pocket to go with this. Hilarious interview with Randall here.

Love it, crazy story behind him too. This guy is hilarious! The tongue and eyepatch really set it off.

The bike drawing reminds of the one animator drew.

I really like the Randall sculpt, it works really well on the Globby body. I can't wait to see it in vinyl and painted. Bwana uses clear root beer vinyl a lot and I'd love to see him done up in this color. Here's my drawing for anyone who missed it a while back:

That's a really cool drawing David. Steven's expression is great.

Very nice, though I wish the expression was as comical as it is in the illustration.

 Re: Bwana's new dude Randall
I think he fits the Globby body much better than Globby himself, not sure why. Possibly because Randall is so much more textured. Can't wait to see some paint on him.

 Re: Bwana's new dude Randall
Ona side note, I keep looking at that turquoise vinyl from the Bullshark thread and just think it's got Bwana's name all over it. stealthtank wrote: The color matching process is a nightmare. Here's a shot of some of our opaque and translucent compounds. We can increase/decrease hue, tint, and opacity by adding/limiting pigment% as well as the addition of white.

 Re: Bwana's new dude Randall
I was hoping he would have his own body. Would love to have seen him as a hairy beast with bear paws and feet.
I don't recall ever seeing a bear with shoes on. =D
I still like the figure though.

 Re: Bwana's new dude Randall
Well reusing the body with a new head gargamel does all the time.
Zag -> Bako -> Mibora Tokoji Seijin -> Tokoichi Seiju Hedoran -> Hujili's Ghost
But if he did get hairy feets and torso with just some overalls, I'd love it too!

 Re: Bwana's new dude Randall
It's a very whimsical sculpt but the only thing that I have found rather odd is the translation. There is a huge divide between the drawing and the final sculpt. It really looks like a pig riding a bike and not a bear.

 Re: Bwana's new dude Randall
Do you mean that the sculpt looks like a pig as well as the drawing, or is the sculpt not enough like a pig? I've shown some folks Le Merde's sketch of Randall, and they say he looks like a dog.

Re: Bwana's new dude Randall (and Boris)
It's not even the fine-tuned wax sculpt, just the first model. I think the detail on this guy is great! Does Gargamel even make any other insectoids?
