 Re: Alex's new favorite shop
This is really no different than Interpunk.com or sourpuss.com. Punk walmart of the internet. With that said..they have a good selection of FP. boom.
KR and Fred Perry. So punk.

What's wrong with Newbury Comics? I haven't lived in Beantown for, like, 15 years but the store used to be great.

 Re: Alex's new favorite shop
I don't apologize for Newbury Comics. They've done well for themselves.
They have a retail store like this in Cambridge, it doesn't surprise me that it moved to the web. They've combined their regular business and their clothing store to one website. you guys are just mad because it's punk.com and that should be some website with some great punk icons on it? how long has "punk" been marketed to the suburban folks now?
Eh..whatever...I still buy FP and Ben sherman stuff from them.
I can think of a store that has recently changed it's demographic completely and none of you are complaining about them being less punk or edgy. Not picking or calling out, just pointing out that things/demographics/ideas change for all businesses.
you do what you need to do to stay open and afloat. at the end of the day, it's business and making money.

Bullmoose is where it's at. Better record selection and much cheaper. Newbury marks up the chase figures, that's just shady.

speaking of vomit. Did anyone else get nauseous while watching Punky Brewster?
Newbury comics was/is a cool shop. A regional Hot Topic that actually had.... music. and comics.
