I wish the 200% chogokin Bearbrick was a different design. And yeah, KAWS' notification is bullshit.

Yeah, those crashes were never any fun. But I always managed to get most everything I tried for. The only thing I'm really missing (that I want) is the original Dissected Companion...I managed to get all the other ones from the website though.

Went out to see my friends visiting from NY tonight and I totally missed this sale.
Oh well. The prices do make better sense. Not sure why the other shops are different.

shops like toytokyo and toyqube tend to get their own stock early/near the same release date as japan i think. when they do...they typically mark it up a bit, just cause kawsone tends to release at a later date (similar to today) or they don't feature certain products at all (like the accomplice keychains).

i suppose if you really want 'em it's better than ebay...sometimes

Supposedly, retailers are buying at 'retail' and then marking up from there. If that is really the case, I wish KAWS/OF would become 'exclusive' once again. At least everybody had a better chance of snagging suff at the KAWSONE retail price (which is pricey enough as it is).

:) to get black bearbrick - but it maybe a :( as Kawsone dont accept PO boxes and dont allow a billing and shipping address, and all my credit cards are linked to PO box due to sketchy mail delivery problems at my street address. Used a worka-round, but emailed Kawsone after. Did this once before, and they cancelled my order - which makes it impossible for me to order anything from them.

Definite :( to miss Pinnochio - and even Tweet was sold out when I saw email 20 minutes after it was delivered. Hoping some flippers will pick some up and I can get one on secondary market for cheaperz.

I think it was a token gesture to underline the fact that they're all done . . . but it also nicely highlighted how big-a-douchebags most of the retailers/etailers were marking it up 200+% . . . . fuckers!

Sleep may be over rated - Could also be that the Pinocchio is over-priced and over-hyped.
The Kawsone prices were very fair for these pieces - but the flippers, and even the legit
retailers are having a laugh marking things up by a third+.

I hope the release brings the ebay price down a bit, so others might not have to pay double+
for a pinocchio, although this seems very unlikely.

Even the Sorayama's fail to meet double their retail. And they are actually worth the price.

It seems to me they had a very small amount of these available any way. I'm not super worried about it, that pretty much made the call about if I was getting one or not. I doubt these will drop much in price right now. It will probably take a few more months/weeks. This release will drive up the hype because now everyone knows the only place to score them is flippers now. Ugh

The cost to most retailers for some items were actually over retail... for example, Black Dissected 1000% Bear via Kawsone is $280. To retailers apparently at wholesale via distros in USA was (and still is) $325

I was more so referring to ebay prices. I know there probably won't be any retailers from here on on selling Pinocchio or Tweety.

I'm sad either way!
