 Re: New Critter
Thanks Dxxe, I'll make sure all you guys get a heads up before the next release and don't miss out. In other news, I was able to strip one of the figures I messed up on yesterday and repaint it tonight. So now there will be 4 available. I've been trying to expand my palette, use color combinations I might not have thought worked perfectly before, Put down more layers of paint, try some new color transitions. I'm not sure if they've been working perfectly, but I hope they're interesting.

 Re: New Critter
Very cool sculpt, so much character to it. Nice job on the paint and the sculpt!

 Re: New Critter
I usually keep out of this section and after seeing the initial sculpt thought 'ruh-roh', but these turned out great . . . a nice twist on the pollution monster theme and the simple kaiju paint apps give 'em a nice traditional feel without resorting to tricks and gimmicks . . . good job fella!

 Re: New Critter
Thanks guys. Andy, oh ye of little faith I'm glad you changed your mind. I wish you could be at NYCC to check them out. In hand, due to the thinness of the figure they're extremely light weight. Probably equivalent in weight to a vinyl figure of the same size. A nice resin piece for a vinyl only kinda guy.

 Re: New Critter
This guy kind of reminds me of an "Aaahh! Real Monsters" character. Not any particular character, it just brings that show to mind. Great work Joe. Definitely a fun looking toy, everything from the expression to the pose... and I especially like the fact that it looks interesting from every angle.

Very cool paint app. by the way.

 Re: New Critter
Thanks all. I'm really glad to be getting such a positive response to these guys. So I have pricing info - at the con, the 1 offs are going to be $55 each.
Once I get regular on-line runs going, the price should come down, it will depend on the resin used and the paint complexity, but I'm hoping to offer them around $40. Hope that helps, and everyone who wants one will find it affordable.

 Re: New Critter
Thanks guys. I'd never seen bump in the night before, but that blue dude also looks kind of like a Damnedron. I'm swinging by Toy Tokyo today to see if any are left from the con, I finished up a few more one-offs I couldn't get done in time for NYCC as well. So a few figures could be popping onto the web store tonight or tomorrow morning.

 Re: New Critter
Well, have a few more one-offs to share. I've put them up on the store, http://splurrt.bigcartel.com/Why is it whenever I need to take a picture my fiance is out of town with the camera and I have to use my phone. I think the rainbow colorway is still coming through nicely in this shot. but the colors in the photo are pretty drab in the pink undies version. Tons of metallics on that guy, he sparkles like a QZ.

 Re: New Critter
these are awesome. i've been in my own world for a bit and missed these dudes. very vinyl-type shape and stature which i find difficult to achieve in my own work. definitely has a lot of possibilities for paint application. good work overall

 Re: New Critter
Thanks guys. It's especially nice hearing + feedback from other resin artists.
I'm going to have more of these guys ready to go pretty soon. So I'll keep the board posted.

 Re: New Critter
I finished up a half dozen new Hiyas. Now they'll be popping up in the store tomorrow at noon (eastern time) for those interested. Adopt a Hiya and help me pay for the Diggler's molding. The paints will be $40 and the unpainted $35.
