Post Paint Remover Question
so i remember reading that nail polish remover and paint thinner can remove paint from vinyl---but how badly does it damage the vinyl underneath?

im thinking of removing the paint from a glow figure and was curious if anyone had experience. i intend to repaint the previously painted area afterwords, so it shouldnt be visible if there is damage, but doesnt hurt to ask!

Don't use nailpolish remover. Use Acetone.

You will get some grazing and hazing, but you can polish it out with some novus plastic polish #2 and some elbow grease.

It's got other things mixed in.

I don't trust it. That's just me.

It's "Housewife voodoo".

nail polish removers can contain things like aloe, or some other oil based additives that might actually make paint not stick all that well if it gets into the vinyl "pores"... straight acetone is best.

Nail polish remover will fuck up your figure. I messed up a SB dipping one on nail polish remover. It made the figure softer and didn't work so well.
