The GAAL Genjin sketch is excellent, you even manage to throw in a touch of Ukiyo-e ghost-vibe in the treatment of the eyes. 666 thumbs way up.

Neither did I grow up in a racially homogenous Scandanavian state but I do seem to remember KISS and other pseudo-proto-metal bands who looked a bit like mime-clowns with the makeup and all. At least Lou Reed stuck to eye shadow and liner and eschewed the clown white during his brief metal/leather-bar phase. Eno and Bowie were never proto-pseudo-metal so it's all good. Why hasn't there been a Cabaret Voltaire tribute release yet? They invented "Nag Nag Nag" and used hair dye!

KISS ripped Kabuki makeup, King Diamond ripped off KISS and the rest of the black metal dudes ripped him off. I mean, right? NagNagNag ripped off Abe Vigoda.

The only good black Norwegian black metal is Darkthrone, even if they're more dis-beat nowadays. At least they have a sense of humor.
