best idea ever! instead of knocking off on the masters of the universe trade, imperial made rider toys for your fantasy figures! just got this dude, but mine has a pink saddle. i'm sure it is a swap mash-up, but i like the pink more anyway. i think it is funny that they named the toyline "robots, lazers, & galaxies" since all the toys (that i have seen) are dragons and various animals.

While doing some cleaning today I was very happily surprised to find these guys in the back of my closet. And I was just wondering whatever had become of the Sectors the other day. It's a shame their wing motors no longer operate but I am just happy that they are no longer on the MIA list.

And this little nasty. I had forgotten all about this guy. You could pack this guys guts in with a bunch of Mad Scientist Slime and then, when you peeled his stitches off, they'd all come spilling out covered with goopage.

Image

I am missing the stitches and the slime. But he is still super cool. Now- If I could only find my Garbage Pail Kids.

Dissect An Alien was the shit! And, hey, making toy slime is easy as hell. Thing is, you're gonna have to scavenge the bandage part or jerry-rig a substitute.

Those Sectaurs look great, man. Good find. I'm shocked you even have all the weapons! I think I have my Battle Beetle downstairs somewhere. Had Spydrax, too...I always dug the figures and weapons (and even the smaller sidekick bugs) more so than the big puppet riding bugs.

Love the Mad Scientest stuff. Mine Dissect-An-Alien is complete in box, I opened it when I first found it. I had one as a kid and loved it, it was a thrill finding it a few years ago complete and unopened. I could never get the guts to stay well. The mini comic that it comes with rules too.

Thanks Sanjeev. I am missing a few of the weapons. Most missed is Waspax's sword and his bug companion. I always liked the figures and smaller bugs the best as well. The glove bugs always seemed like they'd be more fun than they were. Spidrax and Skulk were two that I always hoped to own but never got.

BD- Mad Scientist was one of my favorite messes as a kid. All of those slimes, foaming goop and glow in the dark oozes were too much fun. I can't even remember what the packaging for Dissect an Alien looked like, let alone the comic. Share pics if you get a chance.

Well put...that's it exactly!

Looks like you have Spidrax and Spiderflyer right up there! I actually had Skulk...gotta say, he was pretty fucking incredible. The whole tarantula theme was really well-realized with that pair.

Anyway, regret not getting more Mad Scientist toys back then...but I guess that was around the time I was "outgrowing" toys!

LOL- I must be confused on the names. I thought Spidrax was the tarantula thing. Oh well. So what was the name of the tarantula that Skulk rode? *edit* found it- Trancula.

Outgrowing. When did that happen again?

Well, for real, it happened for me around junior high time. Toys and cartoons were much less appealing...and no one else seemed to be into them anymore. Music, drugs/other mayhem, and of course, bitches became the new fixation.

Then, towards the end of junior high and the start of high school, my friends and I started getting into comics and "rediscovered" these things from our childhood. And it was all downhill from there.

Flaming Carrot is the man...sorta! I found one at a comic shop and can't bring myself to open it, but he looks so much cooler opened in that photo.

I've been picking up random toys rather than focusing on any one toy line. These are my latest additions:

And the battle beast collection grows:
