I had a friend who lived in a double so bad they needed a cat for every room to keep the rats (yes rats) in the walls and not in the house, we would sit around and get fucked up and place wagers on the different cats, word to the wise ALWAYS bet on Billy Idol

We have a lot of rat snakes around, thus not much of a rodent problem.

F.U. Fallout New Vegas! You totally distracted me making sure I missed any chance of scoring that Comet Debris/Bwana Matango. I guess it's my fault but blaming FONV feels better.

A big FUCK YOU to my neighbors upstairs! You went against the HOA's policy and put hardwood floors in. Did you not realize that wood floors in an upper unit is prohibited for a reason? Now I get to hear every step you take with your high heels on. Every time you drop something, I can hear it. Oh, and I can also hear your cell on vibrate! Don't you know that wood is the best resonator for sound?! Your kid's xylophone and constant crying is grating on my nerves. Thanks fucker for now I have to sleep with ear plugs. And whoever installed your floor sucks nuts as the shit squeaks.

And another FUCK YOU goes to you for coming down to my front door at 8pm to call me an asshole out of the blue for having my tv's volume up too much? WTF? Not only did I try and have a decent, mature conversation with you about how I had to turn up my tv to block out the noise you're creating, you insisted on calling me a dick and then blamed the unit as being old and that I have to just get used to it. Guess what assholes, I'll be at the next board meeting to petition to have that wood floor you love so much to be ripped the fuck out. Go eat a dick!

Dear guy who stole my bike,

Do you even realize what you took? Maybe you did, that's probably why you stole it. Did you know that bike can never be replaced? It was the only one like it in the world. You just took away from me what I liked to do most. Not only do I feel like shit emotionally, but I will also feel like shit physically pretty soon. Thanks a lot and Fuck You man or woman.

Oh my, you exercised great patience with these morons! I would have just went upstairs, rung their bell, and when they opened the door let loose Begbie style- starting with a big swift kick to the nuts! Hope it works out in your favor.

What kind of bike was it?? I've had so many bikes stolen from me. Granted they weren't one of a kind, they were still a big part of my life since I ride BMX. Let's see.. 10 kids surrounding me and my friend with a large rock in hand, Garage door pulled up by 4 people to break the lock bars, my hatchback window smashed and bike removed(double shitty), just to name a few...

Atleast you weren't hurt I guess..

I would have lost it on these 2 douches.

I see shit like that all the time. People just showing up at the PO with stuff all like, How do I mail something? What do put it in? etc..etc..

Did they grow up near power lines, fall on their heads as babies, mom smoked meth/crack while they were still in the womb. Its like they have never received mail or a package.

Damn that sucks. Here is a picture of my stolen bike.
Image

It used to be a track frame belonging to a professional track racer in Japan. He had it converted by the Makino factory into a road frame. After the conversion he never rode it, so it was essentially "new". I had it shipped to me from Japan and built it up myself.

I've also had my car stolen from San Diego during Comic-Con 2006. So, fuck you to that dude too.

Fuck You management! Fuck your "version of events", fuck your scripts, fuck your babysitting management style and a big fuck you to our 'meeting' and condescending tone. Glad I said I'm not afraid of you both and quit patronizing me. Good luck with handling the call volume today and sending me home for a day off because I office raged.

Fuck, I didn't know office raging could get you a day off.
I'm going to have to try that out.

How to office rage:

Just envision the scene from Reservoir Dogs where Harvey Keitel is explaining the in and outs of the bank robbery to Tim Roth and the look he is supposed to give when anyone gets in his way. I give that look often to my managers when they harass me. I call it the slow boil. Have the blind rage moment next (by rage I mean stand your ground). Seriously don't listen to that little voice inside your head telling you "You'll be in trouble if you say what you think you're going to say!" Most management are use to passive employees. They really have trouble dealing with ones that aren't afraid to speak their mind. The only thing you need to remember is don't get too personal or violently throw anything or cause any physical harm or damage. You will be fired and every argument you have is null an void. Just stand your ground if you believe you are being wronged and have a case. In the meeting definitely stand your ground and, well apparently I upset my managers so much the director stormed into the meeting and told me angrily to go home.

I had the worst boss before my current position. She downright sucked and was a huge micro-manager. She flat out hated me because I stood up to her crap. She was used to her last 2 employees that cowered at everything that came out of her mouth. Funny thing, I was excellent at my job and her superior knew it. It got so bad that one morning I was called into an office with her and she called HR on me. For the reason...who knows? I'm not even sure to this day. Even HR thought it was retarded to have a call. At the end of the call, HR asked if I had any questions. I said that I needed to have all that was shared sink in and would call them back if I had any questions. As soon as the phone hung up, my boss was furious and demanded that if I call HR, that she would need to know what was going to be said. The look on her face was something I will never forget when I told her that any info I share with HR was none of her business. I could almost see her about to explode. Anyways, long story short, I left the company, told HR that she was not in a position to be managing and her ass got canned a week later. So yes, always stick to your guns if you believe you are being wronged and have a case.

Post Re: The "Big F*** You" thread
I work for a newspaper and as we all know times are tough. Unfortunately for me the director of circulation is also the Vice President of the newspaper. I understand his approach, the need to keep circulation up (not losing customers, offering automatic billing etc), thus securing much needed advertising dollars from companies based on said circulation. Unfortunately most people they hire don't look at the bigger picture and just see it as a job (and often aren't trained properly). What I do not understand is his insistence on passively brow beating the unionized staff via his inside circulation managers, never speaking to us directly, and pretty much upsetting our customer base with long phone time delays while we read tediously long scripts and short staffing particularly during high volume call periods. Months ago they wanted us to improvise with our customers within guidelines, and someone like me who has an uncanny knack of reading people did just that. Now without warning, I presume because quarterly profits weren't where they liked, we take the brunt and are drilled incessantly about the scripts. Make up your mind I say! Effective managing is not always micro managing the staff but encouraging people on the positive things they are doing at their job also.

I can say this calmly now but in the heat of it I was less kind... :P

Post Re: The "Big F*** You" thread
Hey Lixx, I feel your pain to an extent. I work as web developer and for the past 15 years it's been in the world of publishing: Working with traditionally print publications to go digital. Long story short, the implosion of publishing in the past 2 years has made my life hell and in the past 6-9 months has made me rethink my tech career path. I basically am never ever for any reason working for or doing new work for anyone involved in dying media. The world is too desperate. The techs get blamed for lack of web ad sales even though we are techs and not connected to sales. It's all ugly.

In my case I negotiated to end my exclusive contract with one contract I am on (gotta love how one time full-time jobs have gone freelance/perma-lance!) and I am working on getting other gigs in non-print fields.

My advice to anyone involved in print publishing: Start looking for other work outside of publishing right away. And if you don't think you can move your skills elsewhere, you had better revaluate your skills and see in what ways they can be used in the new media world. Because print is dead and it will be one tedious, long and ugly death.

Post Re: The "Big F*** You" thread
Well I went to a open house for a college right here in Buffalo this weekend. I'm going to go to school for environmental science with some emphasis on geographic planning (GIS but not a slave tech chained to desk all day) hopefully in the fall. I never want to be chained to a desk ever again (i.e. field work!), nor do I want to work for a profit fueled company ever again. Maybe after securing a degree I can do research, field work, etc etc. Ultimately I'd love to have my own business or work for myself somehow but it's very hard when you can't make ends meet. Everyone says I should be a writer (which I love) but I need to make some moves to secure my future and I don't really see that happening as fast in that field. Besides anyone worth a shit is rarely given that chance and most things I read are often generic pc crap.
