The better the bandwidth, the better the quality. Also, not all of their instant view titles are even available in HD.

Re: netflix instant thread. yeah there are some things that were never out in HD in the first place. with movies & shows it's mostly stuff released or remastered in the last couple years. refreshed with buffy/x-files etc but it's never going to get any better than it looks. something shot in redcam like antichrist will look at least as good as a dvd.

If you're interested, watch up until the "lecture" scene. You'll know it when you get to it, and it more or less tells you what to expect for the rest of the movie. If the prospect disgusts you too much, stop there. The mad scientist characterization is probably the best thing about the movie. Also, I liked that the ending was as disturbing as anything that preceded it. But is it a good movie? I guess so on one level because it's hard to forget, but you'll be left with a bad taste in your mouth.
