While it is painful to look at sometimes, I am glad people share their photos, whether it is Anraku, Bemon, or Nagx3, or anything else for that matter. At least we know what is out there, even if we have no chance of obtaining them.

Totally agree, besides giving everyone, even who's new to Kaiju, the possiblity of leaning more about specific designers and producers out there.

Well that's a side effective that we can all do little about: inflated prices are pretty much inevitable, after all we're talking about limited runs (and beautiful, highly desirable pieces). If I can I prefer spreading and sharing information instead of keeping it among the usual small group of people, if this creates hype or inflates prices I guess you need to learn to live with it because that's the way things go in a similar market. I'd buy less, stay focused and if I'm patient enough I might eventually score. I definetely won't give up or complain because someone wants to post pictures of what he has, on the contrary I'll thank him for letting me see what he's found and send him my congratulations if I really like what he's sharing with us.

Taking my own advice.

A few things:
1- Yeah, it's a pic thread, sorry.
2- I'm not whining, but I didn't know where else to mention it and if we talk about Geo and others who do this I didn't think it was a big deal. Nothing is really anyone's beezwax, but we still discuss it. I DO think talking about flippers is and can be an OK thing, even when they're from the board, if it's more than just "FUCK THAT GUY!" or "LEAVE THEM ALONE IT'S NO ONE'S PLACE TO SAY!"
3- My main point isn't about Anraku or HIS sale method, it's about someone on the list openly flipping stuff the day they get it (like geo and many in Japan did) and bringing up that it DOES happen and it sucks and anything going on with that topic.

So anyway, I didn't feel like a new thread and also I forget that sometimes we can't just have a conversation about this stuff with out it getting all crazy and shitty. My bad, I totally take the blame.

i'm new, i lurk and i don't post much. and i'm pretty much intimidated by some of the mentality here. it seems like people have to be "old school" to want to own a piece of anraku or a nag or a bemon or any other desirable piece of vinyl. they're great toys, and have obviously been crafted with love and attention to detail, so it's easy for people to fall in love with them and want to own some.

not all of us new bloods are hopping on the bandwagon just because it's the in thing. some of us just got exposed to these beauties much later than you skullbrain vets.

and yes, i still hope to own a goga within my lifetime. in the meantime i will be living vicariously through all these pictures of some of the most unique toys i've seen in my time that i've spent collecting toys. thanks for all the pictures

Put a bunch of primates in front of a limited ressource and you will get conflict, it's a hard and fast rule of nature. Social primates are also obsessed with the constant definition and testing and challenging their position in the social hierarchy.

So what you've got here is a bunch of nerds (almost all of them primates), bickering about who may be most deserving of a limited ressource ( NAG x 3, Anraku, Bemon etc.) based on their perceived position in the toy collecting pecking order ( OG, Hardcore, Mega-Collector VS Fresh Meat, Flippers, guys from France etc...)

Theres no need to take 99% of the crazy talk on this board with any degree of seriousness. Don't worry about it and enjoy the pictures !
