Re: What do you listen to????????
Haven't heard that in a while. Their first 3 albums are great. The next two are pretty good. Everything after BSSM I consider to be a completely different group and can't listen to it.

Slowdive! I'm gonna listen to shoegazer stuff when I get home. Them plus Lush, Curve, MBV, Chapterhouse and Pale Saints should be enough to bring back a bit of 90s nostalgia.

It was a pleasant surprise to see them open for Catherine Wheel in 1993. All the stuff xpollardx mentioned is great as well! Saw K-Holes, Stickers, the Babs Johnson Gang and Sacred Appalachian Hands play a single car garage tonight. Lots of fun... K-Holes were pretty fantastic and wild. The band was all over the ground and each other making a great noise! Stickers had a cool sound with only a drummer, bass player and saxophone, very no wave noisy, but the lyrics were grating and I had to pass on buying a 7". The Babs Johnson Gang blew me away and pretty much ruled the show. Guitarist and a drummer playing some bluesy garage rock, you might think "White Stripes" by that description, but that's not quite right. Lots of energy and a fun live show. SAH were playing when we got there and they had a good indie garage sound, the myspace stuff doesn't represent at all. Finished with a rockin and fun version of "Be My Baby" that everyone dancing. As for recent repeated listening: Ty Segall - really great garage rock - this kids just keeps getting better and I can't wait to see him again in January. and Mean Jeans - really dumb punk rock - FUN!

I've had MBV on repeat for the past week. It might be a cheesy connotation, but hearing Sometimes makes me think of being in Tokyo. It's those little things that make music so great and help get you through the day. Also, listening to old PJ Harvey this week has made the cold weather that has moved in for the winter a little more bearable. Cold weather, like PJ, leaves me dry

i thought that was david lynch in your avatar, but wasn't sure if maybe you just looked like him. mr. lynch has just released his own musical adventure in synth-drone-pop. the single is available for listening here: http://www.avclub.com/articles/heres-th ... -kn,48339/

Re: What do you listen to????????
recently picked up the new(er) belle & sebastian and iron maiden. both sound kind of.....different. i think both are pretty good, but they are both albums that you need a few run throughs before it settles in. i think in both cases these bands have such a large library of music that they really don't know what to sound like anymore.

Re: What do you listen to????????
When each new Deathspell Omega comes out, I forcefeed it to myself. There's nothing to do - they bore the ass outta me, they borrow to much from everyone, Miko's voice is soporific + the fact that he's in so many disgusting bands (Creamface, Nicole - please don't look those out, nsfw) make me think that the whole band is fake. So I went back to basis, Die Kreuzen ! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CI4Vai5M ... re=related

Re: What do you listen to????????
Last minute christmas gift ideas for Lady Gaga ; Tortyr's Ingen Kommer Undan and Tormented's Rotten Death The interesting fact about this is that's it's the same band, they just switched vocalist. Tortyr is totaly classic swedish crust while Tormented is proto death. Tormented feature Drette (founding member of Edge of Sanity and Marduk) on vokill and he's bringing that EOS sound that I craved since they disbanded. Both albums shred ! And for her steet cred, LG should look into new buzz band No Joy' Ghost Blonde. Mixed by Raveonettes’ Sune Rose Wagner, it really sound like a Montreal sticky bar floor. Beautiful, really.
