From what I can remember the teaser trailer was good, then the film came out...

I'm confused as to why people are wetting them selves over this. Edwards did some great sfx, no doubt. But Monsters is a road movie/love story. I'd prefer to see Del Toro, though that may be a bit obvious, at least Del Toro knows how to entertain. Edwards seems to have a light hand. Admittedly I am basing that on his one film, and no doubt they have made him run some tests before attaching him to it, so maybe he knows how to make a big movie and crush buildings.
