yeah, I saw that auction recently but wow what a price. I mean, for good reason, but nonetheless.

doesn't really have to be that holy. can be just a grail you've been lusting after.

upon lots of musings I think after acquiring one of the main BxH figs, I really want a grey clear BxH kun with the GID insert. One went for silly cheap money on mand a while back. Hope someone on here grabbed it and gave it a loving home.

I've been trying to focus, and limit myself to SB grails. As such that would be:

Pink Medicom Headshop brain
Rainy day brain
Employee Secreter
GID Brain
Red Skullwing
Silver spray GID Skullwing
Fanclub Damage brain
An all-clear Skull Barbarian

prior to this it was Cocky - which I scored (fingers crossed that it arrives this time) just this week!!!

the clear purple Mutant Evil's, and in fact any Mutant Evil I don't have for a decent price would be my second string grail.

Hovering out there is the blue 12" Waldar, which I could score if I just paid enough!

When I first posted in this thread, I cited two pieces that are actually upcoming releases, as I couldn't think of anything that fit the Grail criteria of something rare and out-of-production that I was currently burning for....but a few things have occurred to me since which fit the bill better:

-GiD Cococroc
-Fleshtone Woodring Mantra (or any other mono Mantra test shot)
-Any of the old Jimland Novelties catalog toys/objects which I put off ordering all thru the 90's, and now wish I had: No!, the latex casting of Jim's hand, the Jim mask...

That M1 Kanegon has no reserve on it, it could go cheap so if you want it do it!! Regular retail was 100,000 so if you get it cheaper than that you are scoring big time! But sometimes there are auctions where the seller says that the final bid price will be multiplied by some amount mentioned in the description for the actual cost, I cant read that part so I am not sure is this is the case, sneaky!! Shipping will be a little steep! :D

I've only seen one Mantra test shot, and it was flesh colored. The owner got it straight from a friend of his at Presspop. Do you know if these were ever sold anywhere, or did they just leak out?

They were done in an edition of about 50, as HK store exclusives.
I think about 7 moved thru eBay back when the Mantra was first released.

The Woodring fam also have a couple test shots that they use as Xmas tree decorations; one is a solid mint green, I forget the color of the other.

lowpro snagged the one on ebay earlier this year.

Thanks plover and baikin for the link and advice! I guess I have to figure out Celga now. My wife won't like that giant Kanegon. Ah well, it probably doesn't snore anyway. Here's hoping it's a bargain!

[Edit] - Well I took the plunge. No point in pussyfooting around when trying Celga for the first time!

Well it eludes me still. Celga is not equipped to handle an item the size of giant kanegon. It is evidently too large for the post office and they estimate $800 to 1,000 to ship via FedEx.
