I read somewhere that it is about 5" tall but gave no mention of pricing. It should be the same as other Horvath/Sun-Min stuff of that size.

My kids love the simplicity of bossy bear and the message within the story. The original toy and book are perfect.

With that being said..I don't understand doing a 'kaiju' version? Is this just for making money or is there another book involved? Is there a book in the works. I just don't get it.


If there was a choice between two versions...the original wins out every time. The original expression vs this new one? blah.

I really like the look of this guy. I'd love one in pocket size... the Super Puncher is my favorite Pocket sculpt, but I'm only a 'casual' Uglydoll fan.

I really don't understand all this gibberish especially considering how much my kids and others liked it...but knowing there is a new ipad book sounds promising.

I wish we could have done the arms, too.
But so far all Bossy toys are only head and body to keep the price down.

I really value both. Especially when it comes to calling something kaiju.

Ill timed because the 3rd Bossy Bear book, which is meant to be a free digital
download, is now looking like a late 2012 release, but this guy, actually
named Strange Beast Bossy Bear, not Kaiju Bossy Bear, on the packaging and in the book,
is Toy2R made in China, not Japan soft vinyl.
We are trying our best to recreate everyone from the books,
such as Croca Doca, Roller the Reindeer, etc.
So Strange Beast Bossy, while he only appears as a toy
in the 3rd book ( When Bossy says GIMME at Mandarake's display window)
is supposed to be a recreation of that moment.

But we really do call this Ice-bat pictured KAIJU Ice-Bat and he is straight up made in China,
but again, based on what you find in our books. Specifically the Ugly Guide book where Kaiju
Wage and Kaiju Ice-Bat toys appear and talk to each other.

then there's the little Kinnimukany kaiju Ice-Bat one, but that's for toy fair.
We've always been huge fans of the little non painted guys.
Thank to the Gargamel folks for these amazing kakuranger ones,
we had been searching since 1994.

( and it really does say OPT OUT on the Beast Bossy box, I meant that. )

AHHH!! Gotcha. Ok that makes sense. If you went with the money angle that makes sense as well...especially business wise. I was thinking that the first toy and first two books were perfect so why mess.

Thanks for clarifying. You have a few kids (2 and 4) in San Jose that are huge fans and abide by the "you don't have to be bossy....rule"

Happy to hear it, we've learned much since that first book with our little one
