Not a fan of this figure. Such a great sculptor, and this is all he came up with? :?

I would say it has a lot to do with the original character.. Not a load of room to go to crazy there.
I do like the face on the black one better of the 2.
Anyone know if the 2nd version is an actual licenced version of this character, or are these like the Chibira Kun rips and just funny tributes?

I like this two. I didn't care much for the purple and pink ones.

The brown one doesn't do anything for me. Looks like he's trying to give his club away.
The black one I really like a lot (have they come and gone?) The color and texture of the fur against the smooth ebony face, the one eye, and the little omake, really work for me in this one.

Thanks. I thought Brian posted that the 1/6 store would now ship outside of Japan? But I noticed half teh pre-orders say no overseas sales...which kinda sucks.

That's what I thought as well & I contacted 1/6 because they had some stuff in store I was interested in & they said no overseas shipping on anything except for select pre-order items. They told me to contact Diamond if I was interested in anything else

I like it and really like the concept behind the toy but the releases and exclusively of the toy make it easily forgettable for me. I love all things UFO but I hate how this was marketed.

I predict that the maza toy will be more easily available within the next few years with about half the cost. I can see paying a few hundred for it but it baffles me how this ended up being sold at the 500-700+ level.

I hope your predictions ring true Bryce, then i may be able to pick up the G.I.D for a fraction of what they are currently going for.

I feel the same way about Anraku, but then again I don't understand anyone paying 500 and over for any toy?

Not really feeling any version of these two characters. They seem too western IMO.

BTW does anyone know the names of these characters so I can clearly state it in the database?

Oh wait never mind, there was a Maza for sale. Wondered why that was brought up. Again I had no idea, completely missed it.

Me too. Always miss teh Zollmen. Where was this even for sale? I saw the Zollmen minis on Garimpo - which were sweet - and only 1500 yen each - but didnt see a Maza for sale.

Yeah same way most Zollmen's offered on Garimpo. Little extra banner underneath the regular "ZOLLMEN" banner on the bottom of the page.

Well, I've never seen that extra banner - which would probably explain why I have hardly any zollmen pieces...

Yeah my luck with Garimpo remains the same. It's near 18/4 at this point, but I can't complain really. It's just piece of mind for those who may lose 3-4 lotteries and feel ignored or rejected.

I love Maza and all but I'm really not going to freak over it. I'm with bryce on a lot of thoughts with this toy.
