well, on my side, I don't mind paying $100 on such figure as I am almost 100% sure that there won't be any color variant :)

in this end, this may be less expensive than buying a 5" figure that will be decliner over and over...

Are you kidding? . . . I'm pretty this guy will be dropping in a bunch of colourways! Just to recoup the tooling if nuthin' else!

I always thought it would rock as a fight size dude though. With a similar stance to the S7 Gorilla Biscuits toy.

I agree about the size but I would say it will look good next a Kid Hunter.

concerning the color variation, well, I just hope you're so very wrong :)

This figure I have to say is pretty sick. I have one and can't believe it's only $100 for the size and quality. It's just so good.

I still don't know if this is good or bad! . . . It looks like me after eating a quarter of Pineapple chunks then going on the Waltzers when I was 10! :D

Sorry if that doesn't translate . . . at least Muton will know what it's about!

I'm just curious as to why this is slightly more expensive than the Mad Battle Man.

Isn't that toy larger and more detailed?

Production cost vary from factory to factory. Alot of the price depends on the amount of parts not the actual sculpt or size so much. As well the actual sculptor may have charged differnt prices. So many factors.

Also J vinyl is super pricey. I'm not sure if the madbattle man was made in Japan. But that is a good question.

I don't think prices depend so much on size of the actual figure, but rather what went into it. You can see this figure had a great sculptor and with all the parts price can go up fast. This can make a small figure expensive.. But in this case well worth it.

Has there been any movement on Mad Battle Man since SDCC or whatever with that red/orange scheme? Did that figure finally die?

MAd Battle Man was around $100 at SDCC last year...is that a huge difference? What was it $94?

From P1 of the thread . . .

TOYMINATOR X wrote:
A huge amount of care was taken to make sure that the energy and attitude of the drawing was retained in the sculpt.
Scott ( he sculpted the Sutfin Mad Battle Man, Ashely Woods Bertie, and all of our art pieces) did the sculpt and really stayed true to the design while working out a lot of the complex issues such as balance and overall transition of the line art into 3D.
Wait till the Reckless toys/Toypunks crew release more info shortly.

i think its translated mike giants work pretty good from 2D-3D. a little bit pricey even if made in japan at that size.

tbs, is that picture a prototype or final product? his right foot seems a lil uneven.

Aside from being made with Japanese sofvi, I appreciate the fact that its fully articulated--in the video, Mike was tinkering with it.

8 inches is about the size of the Kid Hunter--only, this one has more movable parts and made with high quality vinyl--looking to be a classic!

Congrats to Mike Giant!
