^ Serious? I LOVE this version, dark red on brown with gold eyes is a perfect combo for this sculpt, could have easily pulled this one on the Goro but i'm happy to see it on the Gorilla.

Now i'm just hoping that the mini is included in a 2 pack and matching!

I don't know... I gues I share the 'too many brown vinyls lately' feeling... that's all. It's buta so it's good, and I love the sculpt, but I'm not completely feeling it.

I like the paint app and will definitely try to pick these up (and you'll never hear my complain about the brown vinyl either), but a part of me is almost wishing I could get the two apes unpainted? Wow gasp did I just say that? Where's Abe?

I was hoping that this was a licensed Toho Kong and that perhaps it signaled a loosening of Toho's (or more accurately Universal's) position on Toho Kong licensing. Sadly, it's being sold as another generic "giant gorilla" figure.

On the upside, the sculpt clearly represents the '67 Toho Kong from King Kong Escapes. That upper lip is pretty distinctive.

Lixx, you would totally be my hero if you could score an unpainted buta. Is that even possible? I mean, not the unpainted releases like the pocket staiin or the clear thrashman, but has anybody scored an unpainted version of a painted release?



Miklas' first pic was from march last year and it's just being released... I guess cavewoman is waiting in the line.

Axolotl, Grumble Toy had a unpainted Kong/ Dino set a few summers ago. Other than that I haven't seen any. The brown just reminds me of yummy chocolate.

Makes sense as to why we see a mini also, definitely spot on with the '67 Kong too.
