Question for the folks with really formidable collections- Where do you keep the headers and bags? And how do you organize them?

Mine are in a giant plastic storage bin in the basement. Very unorganized though. Might be a project for today. Thinking of tossing the actual plastic bags though. Are they really necessary? It's the cards that matter.

ditto - a snap-top plastic bin. I drop the header card in the bag and stack it. One thing I always do, though, is write down which figure goes with the bag. after a while the header cards start to look the same

and I use the expandable file pocket things, so if I have to pull one out stuff isn't just falling out of the sides, and I just sort them by company. I also put a note in the bag so I know what bag and header goes with what..

I put the head card into the bag , and fold the bag , stored in a large drawer .

It's that simple, though sometimes can not find the header card and bag fast, but I am sure each of the header card come with his original bag.

the photo album makes so much sense. I just have a plastic box and i have recently ran into a issue of finding a particular header. And writting down which header goes to what makes a ton of sense too.

I keep all headers and bags in a Secret Base bag, it's is becoming too small I need a new one !

hahaha! That wouldn't last a week for most people here.

I started just putting them in a drawer, then I had to start removing other items from the drawer, now, they just own the whole drawer.
They are fairly organised, mainly by sculpt.

i keep my headers in the same box that contained the toy that got me into this madness, sent by andy.
the box was filled to the max, but now it's almost empty.

i usually toss the bags. unless it's the rxh 2mil ziplock bags, those now are used to store my motu and various american action figures until i can work a better display set-up for them. or, printed bags (m1go, lash stuff, etc) go with the headers. anyways, the headers i lay out flat and put them into a comic book bag and board and file into a comic storage box, mixed right up on my shelf with all the other boxes of actual bagged and boarded comics.

Huh, these are interesting way people handle the headers. I keep the headers in a small photoalbum, and the ones that are too large for the photo album go in a clothing box. But my collection is a small one. Not much really at all.

Love the photo album idea, but definitely need some kind of labeling/cataloging system to figure out what goes with what (short of sticky notes).

an idea i have had, but am not at all a wood craftsman and would rather spend money on more toys than to have this done by somebody. anyways, what i thought would be cool would be a shadow-box type coffee table. a 6-10" deep box inside the center of a coffee table with a glass window overtop (for those that are confused by my mention of a shadowbox). that way you can just lift the glass/slide out the drawer & toss them in and be able to view the kickass artwork in a messy-style display window...
