can anyone think of something with a flat round metal base and a thin metal pole that comes off of it?

OK - trying to be sensible despite being given some great fodder for dumbassery: 12" figure stand One of those ugly photo display stands which allows a bunch of photos to clipped on in a sprouting-from-the-base style
