Imo this could be fun, i don't like bust,s but i could imagine, if the final product where to be a bust, not seeing it as a bust at all. Sort of fooling myself the rest of the figure is somewhere else. Am i making any sense..?? Well, if there's any team that can make this thing a succes, it'll be skinner x shikaruna x lulubell!!

Yeah... totally confused now as I guess the folks at Lulubell have no idea what Skinner showed me, or what he is talking about. Luke sent this to me last night because of what was posted. I talked to Skinner just a little bit ago and he was really pissed... seems like a lack of communication .

Well we were hoping to release an official release but with speculation and misinformation abound it looks like we've got to set the record straight.

Let me first say that we love Skinner, that dude is an actual sorcerer. As a side note, did you know Lady Gaga's song originally said "I want to take a ride on Skinner's magic stick" but the suits thought it was too esoteric and made her change it to disco stick, lame. Any who, Skinner is the man and we couldn't be happier to work with him in make the most epic of figures.

The emphasis in that last part being FIGURE. Not sure who smoked too much of what be we are most certainly making a standard size kaiju style figure. Siccaluna Koubo is a master at form and capturing pure evil and we wanted to make sure we supplied them with everything they needed by choosing the figure we did.

You are going to be wicked stoked when you actually see what we've got cooking for you.

Strange. EVERYTHING I've seen/heard from the artist says 'bust'.

Skinner was at my office last evening and we talked--he talked--for HOURS about the virtue of the bust. Like, unequivocally so.

I would be VERY surprised if this toy comes out and it's not a bust or 3-piece diorama or something. If it does, I certainly can't see Skinner being happy with it. His passion on the subject was/is akin to being measured in misted mountains.

He had some of his WW paintings in the van and proceeded to pull them out and talk about how well some of the creatures would translate into....you guessed it.

Wondering if could have Bern jointed so that it can be a bust and also assembled into a figure as well. That's possible.

I'm not into busts but if skinner is involved I'm willing to bet it's gonna be great and work.

i knew all a long it was going to be a full figure....

i'm still hoping for skulli-osis type embeded skulls all over his body as opposed to creature from the black lagoon style scales.

All this bust vs figure talk is blowing my mind!

I love all the intrigue and mystery centered around this upcoming release...can't remember the last time there was all this uncertainty. Either way I'm sure it'll be a cool looking figure/bust.

Busts are cool as interactive playset style toys for fantasy figure lines like MOTU and stuff. I know if some giant monster bust came with MOTU line that was just a big ass playset for He-Man to fight I'd have dumped myself at 7 years of age (from excitement, not poor bowel control.) But for Japanese vinyl and "stand alone" type toys I'd prefer a figure.

A bust is almost TOO perfect for Skinner, it fits his whole "thing" just right. I can imagine a whole line of smaller figures to fight a massive bust type beast. But that'd have to be some other world shit there. Outside of Japanese vinyl/kaiju/neo-kaiju for me to see it working the way it should. I wish Skinner could get some full line of fantasy/horror/sci-fi action figures that had a whole history going on. Playsets, monster busts, animal-demons as transport, castles! It's all so awesome. However, again, when it comes down to a stand alone single toy made in Japan, I kiiiiiiiiiiiiiinda would rather see a straight up figure right now.

It's exciting to see what hits though! Even if it is a bust or something, it's going to be interesting even if you don't want to collect it or like it. You gotta respect it!

I don't think you could really call what I am experiencing with the folks at lulubell " miscommunication" I sent them turn arounds of a 3 piece bust like vinyl kaiju giant... The idea being that the second release would be the rest of it's body forming somewhat of a voltron kaiju giant... That being said I sent them turn arounds of all this... I spoke to Luke months ago about this.. He agreed and said to send the turnarounds... I hear from him about a week ago where he told me," I got shikaruna to sculpt the " project".. We are going to reveal it on a week and a half to two weeks.." I have been super excited awaiting the whole reveal as well because I have only been privy to the same teasers as everyone else.. The silhouette with the head was a good teaser, and deception towards me as I was still being kept from the fact that it wasn't a bust figure like we had both AGREED!! With contracts!!! I am openly and transparently letting EVERYONE know that I am
still waiting for a BUST! In three pieces like we both agreed in the beginning... Luke needs to seriously consider making some decisions regarding his communication with the amazing sculptors at siccaluna.. Luke, I implore you to honor our initial agreement and make the appropriate changes if they need to be made in reference to what you have asked siccaluna to produce... I'm still optimistic about this project but my boundaries have been established and they NEED, no HAVE to be respected... That's my peace... I'm going to go enjoy the rest of my night before I start really thinking about this...
