i suck at the marvel capcom style i live for SSF4 man that game is crack to me and probably because i kill on it lol but mainly i find myself living in a bioshock haze both 1 and 2 that layouts and the art style on those games just sucks me... probably why i bought all the toys lol

I played SSF4 for 2 weeks straight, only game I touched, I still only won 2/5 of my matches I love fighting games but have 0 skill at them. Whether I'm button mashing or really pulling moves off and waiting and blocking, I'm a total suck wad. I can beat the game blindfolded but I can hardly ever beat real opponents.

Picked up Portal 2 this morning, considering how good the first was this might very well be a game of the year.
Besides I'm still playing Yakuza 3, wanted to rush though it in order to focus on Yakuza 4 but finished up enjoying it too much to rush it... anyone here that has played both?

I see a lot of my friends playing Yakuza 3. Is it super cheap to buy now? Is it really that good? Do I need to play it before Y4? What's the deal?

I'm still awaiting Y3 to be "super cheap," and even occasionally check for it on CL I'm waiting for Yakuza of the End and just thought that Y3 & Y4 would be good to play a bit before jumping into that.

Picked up Portal 2 on Tuesday and finished single player mode last night : short but still an amazing game. I'm going replay it to get a few more achievements and to also see if the story changes if I alter play a bit. I start co-op on Friday. Other than that, I'm playing The 3rd Birthday (still not sure about this one), Metal Gear Solid 4 (it was on sale), and revisiting RE5.

I like it, plays like Shenmue on DC, pretty much an action / adventure, with quite a lot of fighting, some pretty long cut scenes thrown in to thicken the plot and the occasional off the wall Japanese humor side mission. Can be a long play, I'm 20hrs in and still feel I have at least 10hrs. If you loved Shenmue, your into the Yakuza setting and ok in playing a Japanese language (only) with english subitites I would suggest you pick it up.
To be honest I loved Shenmue to bits (more emotional that Yakuza) but I'm having fun with this one too and can't wait to pop into Yakuza 4 as I've heard it's much better - engine, storyline and complete of seedy Shinjuku clubs that have been censored in Y3

BTW, don't think you need to play Y3 before Y4, I had it there piled up so I thought I might as well play it before moving to the new chapter. I must admit that I was initially thinking of rushing through it and finished up enjoying it and taking all the side missions I can find

I just finished Y4 a few days ago. Both are great games. Although Y3 had a more cohesive storyline overall, the four different characters with four interconnecting stories made for a interesting game. I actually would recommend playing Y3 before 4, there are events in Y4 that will make more sense if you played the former.

I thought it was dumb of them to take that out of Y3. It's part of the culture...of Japan and Yakuza. It didn't sound like the game was complete without it...so I never bought it.

I am to the point now in RE5 that playing solo is really lame and frustrating, so I only pick it up if my friend comes over or jumps online. I've been throwing Castlevania: Lords of Shadow on again, the first DLC pack just came out this month and I realized I never finished the game.

I also look forward to picking up Yakuza 4 (hopefully 3, too) this weekend.

Yeah, can't wait till next week so I can use my code from pre-ordering Gears 3. From the footage I've seen, the Beta looks to be a lot of fun.

Demon's Souls again

IMHO best game on PS3.

Seriously. I got SO into that game on my first play-through. It's one of those games that literally kicks the living shit out of you, but is sooo rewarding at the same time. Definitely one of the best video game experiences I've ever had.

I've been playing Vanquish which is awesome, MVC3 which I got super into at first and have kind of fallen a little out of interest with, and I just started Dead Space 2, which seriously had the most INTENSE beginning to a game I think I've ever seen.

Thats for sure. I had no idea that I was playing at first and died right away. Definitely is a creepy game. Especially with surround sound and the lights off. My dog is not a fan of that game at all.

finally won my first ranked match in Virtual On: Oratorio Tangram my fuck, people are good at that game! I'm running out of excuses (my controller sucks! they're hacking me!).

last couple posts have made me want to try Dead Space 2 at a higher difficulty than my first run-through, but we'll see

just thought I might try to go back and finish Lost Planet one of these days. then I remembered I traded it in to help afford Dead Space 2. then I got up and turns out I didn't and it's still there. so yeah I might play that some more soon even though parts of it irritated the shit out of me
