Couldn't agree more. I know that the people behind it seem to be super excited. But there is only maybe 1 company (gargamel) out there that I would go out on a limb and buy something blindly.

Considering what SK did with the movie license Khappa I'd say it's very likely that the figure will be true to Skinners work and I am willing to bet on it. Not 500 though. I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of people either kicking themselves for missing this or the reverse. Hopefully I end up on the no kicking side.

I am really looking forward to seeing the finished product and am not gambling on the 500.00 bag but am considering a 200.00 bag. Would any 2 people want to go in on a 500.00? Each of us would get two figures and 1/3 of the t-shirt! That's 2 figs guaranteed for around 170.00. Instead of the $200.00. If anyone is interested, let me know. We can try to figure out the best way to split the 6 amongst 2 other people.

Glad I grabbed the $200 set before it was gone. I had no doubt this would move fast. Skinner's got a lot of fans out there. Happy to see this get off to a rabid start. Let the hoarding begin!

personally, and this is just my opinion obviously, but I don't know if I could ever buy something this expensive blindly and I'm a little bothered by it all. These toys are expensive as shit to begin with so to be asked to commit before even seeing anything is just kind of stupid.

Yeah, after I read that they sold out so quickly, I thought pictures must have surfaced somewhere and I missed out on something killer... I could care less now, I just can't throw money down like that without having a better understanding of what exactly I'm investing in. I'd much rather kick myself later for having missed out than be kicking myself once pictures surface, only to be dissatisfied with the final product.

It must feel nice though to have fans willing to cough up so much dough so blindly. I personally discovered Skinner's work quite recently after hearing about the upcoming release; he's got a great portfolio, coupled w/Shikaruna, I think the project has a lot of potential... not enough potential for me to cough up that much cash though.

Nothing personal... to be fair, you could probably take 2-3 of my favorite artists and offer me the same deal, any dream collaboration you could possibly think of, you name it, I still wouldn't put down the money until I had a better understanding of what the figure was going to look like.

I do hope the figure turns out to be great though. Hope all goes well and all are satisfied w/their purchases in the end.

I was wavering on the $500 mark... but ended up pulling the trigger on $200! I just don't have that kind of money to spend on toys even if they offered layaway. I really justified it with I really like Skinner and what he does and want to support his efforts, and I feel the same way about Lulubell, and in all honesty it almost seemed like a Kickstarter funding project knowing that I will get something in return and also help out 2 entities... win/win!

I was and wasn't surprised that all of these packages sold so quickly given the fact that no pictures have surfaced anywhere. But Skinner has a fan base and so does Siccaluna. It's hard to imagine that the offspring of these sick and demented parents would be anything less than twisted and psycho.
