Here is another one of my personal favorites....a group of 5 unpainted M1 Godzilla figures of different forms....1954, 1964, 1989, 2000, and 2002....in their original unopened bag. I was told that this set was a magazine exclusive but have never learned the name of that magazine. Still....it makes a nice addition to my collection. Btw...if I had more room to display them, they would most likely be out of that bag. Maybe.

This was a major score for me a few months ago. Toy is in almost perfect shape, still had the stickers and insert. Box was completely crushed, im surprised anyone kept it seeing how trashed it was. A friend of mine did some restoration work on it, (humidified, pressed flat, tears and rips repaired). I think it came out pretty good, at least its displayable now. Definitely my new favorite Goji! Sorry for the obnoxious pic size.

Gorgeous!

One of these days, I'll have to get me a Jumbosaurus. Right now, I'm satisfied with Slash's glowie reissue.

But good on ya for restoring the box! Definitely excellent work...and well worth the effort.

you claim that this is your favorite godzilla toy, yet you can't show some respect by sparing a few extra minutes to take a better photo? for shame!

even more than the toy itself, the box repair work is very impressive. actually, now it looks like faux-vintage artwork. are there progress shots of that process?

I must concur on Mattel's jumbo. So very strange and funky, but with incredible presence.

Well, that's actually the original Popy Jumbosaurus. The Mattel Jumbo is VERY different (see nitty's avatar!).

Butanohana circa 2005. 62' Goji. Found it while on vacation if you can believe it. My eyes literally did the kid in the candy store!

Thanks! Im happy with it for sure. I dont have any shots of the actual process but here are a couple before shots to give you an idea of what had to be done.

Before- heavily crushed, some large pieces ripped off (but still in the box)

After being humidified and pressed flat. Next step was the actual repair process, materials used Lineco transparent mending tissue and acrylic adhesive both archival so they will not harm the paperboard.

just checked it again & think you´re right.
thought about it already, but didnt follow it
as i got confused by description on ct:
"The original Bullmark stamp is on one foot
and a Bandai stamp on the other with the date 2001"
mine just has stamp on one foot, none on the other, no date.

anyway awesome fig. thanks for ur help!!!

Well, what's interesting is that how your figure's "branded" IS different from other repro's. I have the glow reissue, and while yours clearly has a black ink stamp for Bandai (in Japanese) on the left foot, mine has "POPY" in English. And on my right foot, there's the copyright 2000/Bandai 2001/Japan engraving Mike mentioned. I'm guessing that indicates that your repro is B-Club, while mine was Popy...but I'm not totally sure how all that worked.

Maybe Mike if he's lurking...

never really understood the name difference between B-club and popy. It seemed to be pure marketing. All are really made by bandai, right?? I thought switched to Popy when they started to reissue some of the popy molds. Sort of pointless since the reissues and originals were about the same price or at least close. Now everything has shifted to bullmark. not sure if it still goes through bandai or not. i believe it is the owner of the original bullmark. I could be completely wrong since i really did not pay much attention. All i know is the same figures from the now bullmark cost a lot more then when they were under the b-club brand. I think yuji has a hand in there too. The mechagodzilla reissue was via bullmark. Roger might not some more facts...

Could it be a Slash jumbo? Not sure on how they mark the jumbo feet, but the mini and mid size Slash repros keep pretty true to the original stamps and don't appear to be marked otherwise except on the headers (unless the stamp under the tail is Slash's own).

I believe Slash has 7 or 8 Jumbo color versions.

I haven't been paying a ton of attention either, but this is consistent with what Matt Alt's been saying over at TBDX. Frankly, I think it's all marketing, too...

Nah, Slash reissued the vintage Popy stuff; you're thinking of the Jumbosaurus (see XVivaHateX's posts above). alifeintoys' toy is the giant-sized Bullmark Godzilla.

Would this be the Slash Jumbo that we're talking about? Height= 16' Weight= 3lbs. I got this behemoth a couple of months back. Finally took him out for a shoot. I knew he was bigger than standard but didn't know that he is this huge. Couldn't find much pics on him too. Release in 2006.
