 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
This is indeed a surprise, I had not made my early morning full turn of sofubi websites yet ! Can't wait to see this for real. I could not try the one-off lottery and King Smog would have been my choice and this one looks simply crazy. I still can't believe it

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
His site has gone beyond confusing me I've jsut hit it for the first time in a LONG time and it used to be an easy "here's what's coming, here's how to order" but now there"s a "shop" and a "BBS" and you order from them too? I'm so lost, my head has too much info swimming in it and anything new like this is crushing it all Anyway, I like the Cyborg Mr. X and Hito is always cool too. I feel like those 2 really take the "cool and weird" cake. I'm still holding out for more minis, really need some more!

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
Shocked to see it same size as a smog, that pre release photo really made it seem huge. Compared to a hito though, it is a beast! Thanks for the comparison!

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
WOW, that Mr. X does look amazing! I like the black accents and the contrasting yellow cracked open head. I didn't really get what was happening with the one-offs on lottery. It said they were coming, but I never actually saw any news. Anyone enter for these guys?

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
If you look in detail, you will notice that Nari-san literally painted these guys with a brush, especially around the head and face. Its a pretty large surface area for brush work. Simply amazing.

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
Isn't it pretty standard to paint some of the details with a brush? Looks like the eyes, teeth, and "crack" were brushed - I don't see what's so amazing about that. Not to detract from Nari, I just don't get why this is a big deal.

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
Its actually the black part of the head down to the yellow part and the orange. He managed to achieve the gradation and really smooth brush stroke. Plus with that color mix, I'm not sure if its easy to fix there's any mistake. I'm not exactly a painter but it sure impressed the hell out of me.

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
Really? Forgive me for being dubious, but that would be odd to brush the black on...and the way it fades looks like a spray. Obviously you have it in hand and can better examine the details, so I guess I'll have to take your word on it...but with skepticism.

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
Geez! Ok look at the 1st pic, top right. the black area is quite thick and cakey. Typically if its sprayed on its really thin and smooth. I don't know, maybe his air brush started to sputter and to not risk it, decided to use a brush. I think you'll just need to get one

 Re: New Elegab sculpts!
i see lots of speckled gradations and over-spray around the raised features, so it might be the vinyl texture or the clear coat that might be giving the impression of brushwork, no? could also be some spot touch-ups done with a brush.
