Bemon seems to be a main source of inspiration for Nags (probably one of the reasons I like them). Anyhow don't want to steal focus from the thread, GS toys look awesome and imho belong to a category of their own.

Alice had said earlier, Nag was pretty much a tribute to Dustman. There are dozens of crude toys out there. I guess the most expensive is always top of mind.

Andy has a cool quick writeup. Here's a picture of the earlier stages from his blog. I didn't realize this thing was so small. I love the price point..can't wait to see some photos from the people who bought them.

Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
The monster set don't remind me of any kaiju/neokaiju/japanese sofubi so much as they remind me of cool generic monsters figures from the 60's. I really love them just from those blanks and am pretty excited to see what we get with them.

Not sure I would say "ripped" as the Kougai was already pretty much defined on the IKB header. The way I see what Bemon has done so far is to bring existing characters to vinyl (and the vinyl Kougai in this sense is a perfect rendition of the one on the header).

Yes, it definitely has a yokai feel to it (not quite sure of what that particular yokai is called but there is one that looks like this guy) but I wouldn't say that's a bad thing, I actually love what I'm seeing because it also reminds me of traditional Japan.

Will the monster ever rest? You want a one off? We made you over 200 one offs. Your chances of there being two of the same figure are almost 1 in 1,000,000. Grody Shogun's newest figure, Monster, is made up of 6 different heads, 6 different arms, 4 different bodies and five different colors all mixed and matched. (see additional images) This massive creature stands at approx. 6" with 3 points of articulation and retails for a mere $25 for this first-unpainted-prototype-one-off-version! ***As you can see, these come SUPER assorted. You can make requests in the comment section, and we'll try our best to get close, but they are ALL different.***

I passed w/out regret on the 2 previous figs, but I am really diggin' these mixed blanks.

Re: Grody Shogun - New Stuff
Damn, I really want to order a couple of these. I wonder how accurate they can be with the requests though? The variety is one of the appeals to these guys for me, but I also would hate to end up with 'twins', especially when it comes to getting a couple different heads.
