Those prices are way out - Yak face is worth much more!!!
I just did a quick "completed auctions" search on the bay of evil and found a MOC Yak Face (Warok Tri Logo) that sold for $1,200. The loose ones in good condition seem to end somewhere between $100-200.
I was trying to poke fun at the expensive price quoted on that site - he's never been worth what they seem to think

A two foot tall Amanaman sounds like a good plan!

How come you never see bespin twin car pilot 1 at comic conventions? If I was TK-421 I would be at every convention signing toys and movies and stuff. Sorry, between the signed Boba Fett and the Twin Car Pilot I thought that would be a good question.

That IS a good question. But the answer might be that it was probably some forgotten builder just pulled on screen as an extra. And he is now passing a comfortable life with only occasional thoughts of an afternoon's work in '79. I think a lot of people, at least for Star Wars, might have been pulled in to the project by mere chance (did anyone follow the story of the original armor creator? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-12910683). It would be great to hear some of the stories of all these people who played roles. By Jedi of course it was a different story, as the marketing machine was in full force, though this still worked out well for Warwick Davis :)

I think you got a book idea there UltraKaiju, you could call it an afternoon's work, the carpenter's story of Star Wars. And just interview a bunch of people that did double duty.

Post Re: The Star Wars Toy Thread.
Mom found the 1977 Kenner board game in the garage and sent it to me. All the pieces still there, I think. Inside the box was my own version of an SW board game that I'd made at the time and had completely forgotten about. I didn't write the rules down so I have no idea how to play the game that I designed all those years ago.

Now if only my sister would give up my collection of SW trading cards. She seems to think they were hers. I never fight with sis so I'm not going to argue about it. Not worth it. But maybe I can plant a few seeds of sibling guilt, muhahaha...

I nabbed an OG Rancor for $8 at a thrift store about a year ago in mint condition. Best score ever. I love that picture, so awesome thanks for the great shot!

I have a Aunt in law, who ran into financial problems, so sold off less than a third of her doubles, and came out with close to 20 grand, her collection fills up a basement, and her husband doesn't get it at all... That said, for a wedding present he bought her a stained glass portrait of R2D2...

still bummed I let my Mom give a way my old Rancor when I was a kid. Seems to be $20-$25 in most flea market/conventions. Considered re-buying it on numerous occasions.
