The eight bosses aren't the problem, it's when they bring back the MM2 bosses and the stages get bananas.

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
I was really crushed when Megaman Universe got canned. Actually using Ryu in Megaman stages? F YES!!!! Alas, it's all gone now I have the MM collection on GCN and that's the platform people have control issues with. I'm so sad that you cannot use Wii controls to play GCN games - it's pretty crushing to not use my arcade sticks or Classic Controller Pro for fighting games or shooters like Ikaruga. On another note, my copy of Catherine for PS3 should arrive Fri/Sat

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
Just picked up Shadows of the Damned for the PS3 and am digging it very much!!! I mean, I love Suda 51, Shinji Mikami, and the music of Akira Yamaoka, so this game should totally give me a "Big Boner" I was playing Dead Space 2 and loving it... UNTIL I uncovered one of those "game killing" glitches where it makes it impossible for you to progress any further in the game at all. I'm mega-bummed, I was only 3 or so chapters away from completing the game

In chapter 12 there's a part where you have to find a battery and a circuit board to get a train or something running. You're supposed to find the battery first, put it in the slot it needs to go in, and then find the circuit board and use that I guess. What I did, and what I usually do in these sorts of games, is instead of going and putting the battery in immediately, I explored the surrounding area, fought some monsters, that kind of thing, to make sure I don't just jump from one area to the next and miss out on something. When I was doing this I found the circuit board I needed, only out of order, and I then went and saved my game at the save station and quit for a little bit. When I came back, the battery is nowhere to be found, and neither is the circuit board in my inventory... so I'm pretty much screwed. Apparently it's happened to a ton of people, and is a pretty major bug, so it sucks that they didn't catch it before putting the game out.

Hmm, that's the first time I'm hearing about this Dead Space 2 glitch. That sucks big time especially since you're so far into the game.

That's an awesome find, Jim. Sadly it was found at the retail level and not at the testing level. EA just needs to revamp their whole testing department. From what I've been told, morale on campus is pretty low and has been for a few years now...at least at the Redwood City campus.

A portable version of the game I've been working on for the last few years is available for Iphone, Ipad, and Itouch and is absolutely FREE this week. Check out RAGE HD now! http://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/rage-hd/id400707675?mt=8

Hey Jim, what version of the game are you playing if you don't mind me asking? I played PS3 and it went away smooth. I think I downloaded the additional chapter(s?) but haven't played them yet.

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
I'm still playing nothing but Mercenaries 3D, and Catherine. Just wondering:
1) is anyone here on the board planning to get a 3DS now that the price has dropped? I ask because I'd love more people to play Mercenaries with.
2) Has anyone got Sword & Sworcery on their portable Apple devices or Androids?

I'm actually thinking of trading in my old DS lite for one. I don't think I'll do it till Kid Icarus and Ocarina of Time come out though.

I played it for PS3, but I hear that the glitch is in both versions of the game. I'm bummed that it happened, but I'm still going to pick it up again eventually and start over. I'll just make sure to be EXTRA careful whenever a battery is involved

Between any 2 or 3 of them, I can play wirelessly with friends - and the non-3D systems are so cheap that they're not worth selling. You can find all sorts of super cheap deals on them from high-schoolers & college kids on CL now-a-days.

I got a ds lite if you want it. I'll trade you for a ps3/360 game if you have any you're tired of.

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
League of Legends is something a bunch of people at work are playing, and we're in a loose recreactional league. I need to get a lot better. Insanely Twisted Shadow planet on XBLA is a gorgeous game helmed by the FX animator from Iron Giant and Osmosis Jones (among other things, like the 'flavor' sequences in Ratatouille ). Lots of tentacles Not sure how far through I am on that. Also on XBLA and now PSN, I'd recommend the download games from Double Fine. Trenched is one of the few games I've unlocked 100% achievements on, and Stacking and Costume Quest are charming and fun.

I'm playing a glitchy version of DARKSIDERS. In the giant worm level whenever you get through the arena and are just stepping over the doorway it eats you. E-V-E-R-Y T-I-M-E.
I nearly threw my controller through the tv. 32 times later I gave up.

Re: Which Video Games Are You Currently Playing?
After a month away from gaming I'm back into Portal2 and hopefully will finish it soon... excellent game, for those that played the first and loved it don't miss it. Besides this hopefully I might manage to finish Yakuza 2 that has been on hold for far too long.
