unfortunately it's pretty much dried up and died here in philly. most clubs have gone big time with barricades and security guards, and then big (and only) local show promoter:
a. rarely books hardcore or metal shows
b. won't let kids stagedive anymore because some girl got jumped on during a set by The Explosion of all bands and tried to sue him
needless to say he made some exceptions for the GB show (which he put on) because I think he knew people were going to do it whether it was allowed or not
