Post Has anyone bought from items via mail order from MANDARAKE?
Hi peoples, I was wondering if anyone has bought any items from MANDARAKE from their online store? I sent them an inquiry (using their CONTACT form) and they haven't got back to me, so I'm wondering should I just go ahead and buy the item? Are they quick in replying to questions from overseas? Thanks in advance for your comments or advice! (I haven't created an account with them yet, but the inquiry/contact page doesn't ask for such details, it only asks for the item name and number and which store at which the item is located at). The item I was interested in buying is a storefront item. Also, I didn't know where to post this topic, so I hope it's in the right place!

Mandarake accepts paypal and ships overseas. The process is pretty hassle free, set up an acct, purchase the item and manda will take up to 3 days to check if the item is in stock, if it is, then they will send you an email to request for paypal payment. Shipping is reasonable too. hope this helps, cheers!

I've not taken the plunge myself, but I'm told you should take care to note what store you are buying from - they don't combine shipping between stores. If you buy 5 toys from one store then shipping will be reasonable, if you buy 5 toys from 5 stores you'll be paying 5 shipping fees.
A nasty surprise to avoid.

Clumsy wording, too tired to fuss with it. G'night.

yup, just make sure you buy from the same store or they will hit you with mad shipping fees but it's easy to buy from Mandarake... A little too easy.

Thanks for your replies and advice guys. It gave me confidence to go ahead and place my order so hopefully the item will still be available, there is a waiting period before they get back to me and then I will be able to proceed with the order. As it's only one item I'll be able to avoid the multiple shipping costs but I'm glad u told me about this. Yes, it would be very expensive that way!

if it's not a high ticket item, you can pay with credit card & do air mail... pretty cheap that way (although sometimes it takes awhile)

Just for future reference when you email them dont use the form, use this email address international@mandarake.co.jp and they usually get back to you the same day.

I kinda wish I had not seen this thread. I've poked around on the Mandarake site a bunch and now that I know it is a pretty pain-free experience to buy from them, my wallet is going to cry.

Mandarake can be a little slow on responding to questions on items for sale. Not all of the staff speak english, so usually it takes a little while to respond.

This said, I've written to them in Japanese as well and replies come faster in English...
