Post Airbrush problem diagonosis
Have an air brush problem I've never experienced before, and was wondering if any of you guys had an idea.

I'm not getting any air in my brush, my compressor is on and running, but no air will come out of my brush at all. I've cleaned it and it doesn't seem to be a problem with a needle or any clog. I've unassembled it put it together, I think there's a problem with the trigger, because there is really no "spring" to the trigger. it doesn't really push in or pop up anymore.

Any ideas? It's an Iwata Revolution.

Thanks.

possibly the back piece that tightens over the needle isnt tight enough and the needle could also be wedged into the tip alittle too hard.

Yeah, I don't think that's it, I've unassembled and put it back together a dozen times. Pretty certain there must be an issue with the trigger, as there is no spring anymore, but have no idea how to fix it, or if the gun is done.

Well, since I might have to get a new brush, any one have brush recommendations outside Iwata? They clog like motherfuckers.

Fret not, you just need some lube for your trigger. They sell airbrush lube, which is kinda viscous so it doesn't get everywhere, and you need a dab in the hole where the plunger for the trigger sits. I had the same problem after a few uses and cleanings, since I had inadvertently cleaned all the original lube off.

Also, you should totally not be having clogging issues with an Iwata gun. Sorry to say, but they are literally the best brand you can buy.

All the valves supplying the air are fully open? I only ask because I had a problem with low air pressure, and it turned out one of the valves at the moisture trap was nearly closed.

I'll try that first, maybe it will fix the issue. Thanks

Yeah, don't think that's it. Thanks for the suggestion though.

I had the same problem once... I had to replace the stem valve between the hose, and body. The Merri Artist can probably order you one...

Also, get some lube

THanks D, so I'm looking at the schematic, and unfortunately I have the HP-CR, and don't know if I can take apart those pieces like the HP-BCR, I've been trying but can't figure it out. How'd you pull out those pieces?

Thanks Ben.
