That cabinet looks so great. Forgive me for being in the dark here (I am only learning about these viewlixs now), but is this a custom that you have connected to several original arcade boards, or how is it set up with the different games? Also, 'The New Zealand Story', that is priceless! How much are you charging for admission?

Also, 'The New Zealand Story', that is priceless! :) No worries. It's a brand new cabinet. At the moment it has a hard drive based multi-game board in it with 2060 games loaded. It also has a better quality 300 game board installed. This cabinet can run current and classic arcade systems and boards + with a bit of tweaking a ps3 or 360. New Zealand story is such a classic. I got addicted playing it on the NES back in the day but the original arcade version is gold. ultrakaiju wrote: How much are you charging for admission? Takes $1 coins. Re: The "What You Got In The Mail That Isn't A Vinyl Toy" Thread
Awesome surprise pkg from igrrl packed full of suggested teas for me to try (smelled awesome upon opening) & a pair of Marseline pins since I wasn't at the con on Sat/Sun. Shoes I've wanted for years. I've haunted NeoGAF off & on for years wishing one would pop up in Texas... but even if it did, I'd get my ass kicked upon bringing it home. This is the happiest medium between my grail of youth & adulthood, I have vowed to have one before I turn 30. I assume you've been playing a lot since it arrived?

Made it happen through offloading some of my toy collection and most of my vintage video games. Finally one dedicated machine with all the classics. I'm very happy :D Here are some screenshots i just took. It has a LCD high definition screen for playing current arcade boards. Here i'm using a scanline generator linked to a multi-game board. This replicates the oldschool pixels like on an old CRT monitor. Wow epic deadbone, epic.

Damn, those are sweet! I don't know how 'fused' the bone molding is, but you should [theoretically] be able to open it up to change the bulbs if necessary (is that what those small notches are maybe?). If this is the case, you can just get another string, if you can't seem to repair that one. These would be so great for so many different uses

These would be so great for so many different uses Yeah, they're pretty old, so I'm scared of cracking or breaking them. We tried our hand, gently even, at using the little notches & a small flathead screwdriver to open them up but it seemed iffy at best. They seem to be brand new / unused, they still have the extra bulbs & fuses included, sealed shut & coupled to the cord by a big ol' copper staple old school!

This is art from a children's book called "The Goodnight Train". It was my 3 year old son's favorite book so I tracked the illustrator down and she let me buy his favorite illustration from the book. Just got it back from the framers and hung it in his room.
