I'd say these two latest web-eaters are amazingly impressive! The paint is so original and striking, and that glossy black is just luxurious. That said though, the look of them doesn't quite hit with the character I have of them in my mind. When I fell in love with that first picture of Karakuri back in early July it was in good part because all his interesting features were so distinct from one another, and I think uniform black takes away from that somewhat. Don't get me wrong, I think the UnSups are gorgeous, it's just that they're the first Grody offerings that feel more like a 'piece' rather than a toy. Not a bad thing, just not my thing.

Someone posted about building a database of all the different Grody Shogun figures released thus far. I can take on this challenge if nobody wants to. I have every single release since the monstergool up to today's unsup ojisan/karakuri release coming to me. Only stuff i dont have are the OG ojisan/karakuri, WF ojisan/karakuri and the mixed parts monsters for SDCC. let me know if you'd be interested.

would love to see a database... it's hard to keep up with everything, plus all the variant colorways, body parts etc. I'll help if I can.

on a side note...it's crazy that the UnSups are still available. must have been a bigger run than we all thought. I say good...these are some of my favorites so far.
