Post UK folks - good place to buy DVDs other than Amazon.co.uk?
I'm looking for some UK discs, a few of which are out of print, and I was wondering for any suggestions of where to look other than Amazon.

While I can find everything there, I'm not even sure if the third party sellers would be willing to ship to the US, so I was wondering if there are any decent DVD stores that anyone could suggest that I might check out.

Pretty much exactly what I was going to say :)

What UK DVDs would you be after? most companies sell direct from their site. Loads of UK indie distros lost their stock in the Riots, so you'll need to move on it or check ebay.co.uk

Well, right now I'm mainly kicking myself that I never bought that Anchor Bay UK Tigon collection from a few years back that came in the coffin box.

I bought the Amicus one, and the Pete Walker one, but never picked up the Tigon set. I've recently wanted to watch Blood On Satan's Claw and there is no US disc for it.

I know there is a current, in print disc of BOSC available in the UK, but it made me realize how foolish I was for passing on that set when I had the chance, so now I'm chasing it and it's OOP.

ah... yeah :)
That's waay OOP, but if I spot one I'll snag it for you, I frequent a used record/DVD shop that tends to get all sorts in, so you never know.
Optimum recently released a mega Hammer box set.

edit: There's a used one on Amazon for £45

If you wanna spunk that - If do and you wanna ship to me that can be sorted.

Sounds like an interesting set, I actually haven't seen any of those films myself, but the reviews are not that great. Is this just for completionist sake? I have stumbled across a few sites offering rare or 'unavailable' films on DVD, but I suspect most of them are bad boots, and have been hesitant thus far to order any.

If yr interested in the filmmaker in question you can't go wrong with Anchor Bay UKs coffin boxes. The one that I'd recommend above all others is the Norman J. Warren collection. Unique among the British horror directors, you won't find anyone like him; he leaves poor Pete Walker in the dust. Warren is an unsung trash master and I count his film Prey as one of my very favorites by anyone ever.

I couldn't tell you where the best place to buy it would be, but I know it's still available on AmazonUK
for £40.

Who's concerned about reviews? And where are you reading said bad reviews? I'm generally not too concerned about what a lot of critics have to say, especially about horror films, as I feel like my standards/expectations/what I'm looking for in them varies greatly from that of other people. So, no, it isn't just for completionist sake, but rather because I'm interested in seeing/owning the films.

Both Blood On Satan's Claw and Witchfinder General are great, and I haven't seen the others, but I'm sure they're worth a watch.

Not critics at all, who I put no stock in anyways, but just was referring to the reviews on amazon. These tend to be by fans, as they are the ones buying said things, but as with anything, it is personal opinion, and you have to take whatever you read with a grain of salt. The internet is a spastic place and you have to accept that nuts are out there. Also, I was mainly referencing the fact that the quality was said to be poor, and better or equal editions of the better films are also available, but I don't know if those are OOP too. That's all, good luck with the hunt.

PS - for my mind that used set is not too bad, as any OOP DVDs, and especially little know ones, come pretty steep, and when you pass up the chance, it usually doesn't come again
