Pretty much the same thing i'm doing with my slowly growing Grody family. Kinda how my entire collection is actually. I don't have many duplicate sculpts, except for the few things i'm focusing on, which are Katope and Dehara stuff.

Not to deliberately throw this thread into another tangent again, but did someone really go and post those GS guys for sale after seeing what happened with the last ones? Not trying to out you or anything, but I am really curious. I certainly don't like where this is heading.

Are you kidding? Someone sells a toy that cost them $40 for $180 and you didn't expect someone else to sell off theirs at an increased price? Like the seller would have read this thread and be like "Awww...maybe they're right..." I mean I'm not trying to be an ass but that's how things go. No shock.

More food for thought on the Grody's sold by Mr. Batmancollector. Notice 3 days earlier a Monster Gool sold, after 11 bids, for "only" $66. Then on the one he sold, after someone bid $75 someone ELSE bid it up to $100, the a nice even number of $150 then $175. Then someone who wasn't bidding at all jumped it to the final bid price.

I suspect shill bidding. Even if the winner wasn't the shiller. The person who bid it from $75-$175 was. Then some poor fool watching went nuts thinking "ZOMG ITS WORTH SO MUCH MUST WIN AT ALL COSTS!" and jumped in with just enough to pass up the $175 and got played. BUT since in the last 30 days all the winner has done is SELL, I'm wondering if they're really much of a collector. Though they ARE the ones who bought the Grody's listed that you're talking about, so who knows? Final call, impatient and nuts and cleans their butt with money. Good for the seller, who is located at my moms house.

Anyway, who cares, that crap is over, it will continue to happen. People will flip and people will buy. Best to ignore and laugh at it. It's really not worth getting all "aw maaaaan!" about. Let's just have fun with what we can get and remember that these show up for sale in the BST regularly at cost.

People don't realize how easy it is to pinpoint a person from E-bay here, purely based on taste of their sales list. Photo recognition software is fun too... Get your torches guys!!!

Ha. Well there was an open order EM too. I like the KK release a lot. Not sure I'll order multiples, I'm running out of damn room for Grody's, but 1 for sure.

Easy James Bond. Most people are already well aware of people's ebay id's and yja bidding accounts.
People tend to get mad at the seller but I usually get annoyed at the buyer who keeps upping the price. You can list something well below retail and it's not the sellers fault if people start bidding like crazy.

Anyway..I agree with jeff. It's always happened and will continue to do so. If you don't want to be apart of it then just don't bid.

I'm usually disappointed with both, after all if someone really wanted to sell a GS just to thin out the collection, there are plenty of people here that would buy it... It's a way to help out the community, instead of helping your pocketbook.

Might grab a couple, but I'm definitely put off by the fact they don't include the full size body. Not a big fan of the short guys.

I'm not too sure if i'm gonna get this one. Honestly, I'm not a fan of the pain app on this one. It kinda looks a little sloppy, especially the front body. But who am I kidding, i'm probably gonna pull the trigger on one once the deadline quickly approaches. I guess I could always just go with the unpainted one though.

For me the only thing that is "meh" is the red face but I'm basing that off the small figs on the pic. What I DO like is what they're doing with the kara bodies, esp the one on the right looks like they painted a clown face on it. Looks shweet!
