Slush ice!!!! No fancy pants, or mac nugget, fudge jeally bean, bubble tea, for me! For Christ sake, could you imagine John Denver drinking a "smooty" right!!! It's not going to happen, same here! Slush ice it is!

 Re: bubble tea
at my local lolli cup i opt for a pina colada blended smoothie, with strawberry jelly.
i like thai tea, with the tapioca.
do you guys find that you like the boba from only certain places you go?
to me some are just to chewy...
there was a old place i used to go to, they had sour strawberry smoothies, those were goooood!

 Re: bubble tea
^ Boba that is either too hard/chewy, or way too soggy ruins it for me. I find a good boba place(or truck) and stick with it. I'll admit I'm kinda a boba snob.

 Re: bubble tea
Agreed. Find one that actually has quality boba and prepared right, you stick to it. I've had far too many half boiled or over boiled boba and it sucks.

 Re: bubble tea
I'd rather have chewy than hard. Hard boba just isn't right...in any sense of the word. I grew up eating boba with tofu-fa and I love boba

animator wrote: ^ That looks like something I have to try! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DouhuaIn case you're wondering, the pic is taho...although a very up-scale looking taho. I grew up eating that stuff and it is really nothing fancy but, I absolutely love it. It was sold by street vendors and I'd run out of the house when I'd hear him coming by. He'd be walking along the streets with the 2 cans (one for the tofu and the other had syrup and boba...but we called it sago), while yelling "Tahoooo...tahoooooo..." Street vendors are definitely something I miss. You can might be able to find taho at some Filipino eateries.
