Re: The "What you just got in the Mail" Thread
So happy for you ASP, those nodder's, are wicked cool... They look like they're in perfect condition as well. Are they a Mandarake, or YJA purchase?
I have no idea why they never made replica's of the MU's, anyone else know?

Thanks fellas, I'm super excited about them. Marusan made the one Earth version but it's not a nodder and don't do these fellas any real justice.

If I didn't own a Bwana piece I would understand this concern. There are lots of layers of paint, layered on in a traditional painting way which is uncommon for toys. That said, I do own several of Bwana's toys and I sat in on a Killer painting workshop with him. He does lots of prep work cleaning and priming the vinyl to be a more accepting surface for cel vinyl and other paints. He also clear coats them as an extra layer of protection. in short, bwana knows his painting techniques well. I own a custom killer and the paint is tremendous! look at it the best I can do, short of seeing it in person. I'd like to see this one in person!

I have never seen a bwana custom in person.

Bwana's an aquired taste. I'm not into his HP's, mine were always sticky and just not my thing. They're real heavy feeling (in looks not litereally overweight.)
That's not bashing though, I can see why others are into his stuff, he's def got his own style.

^ He changed the clear coat he uses. A lot of his older custom painted toys are tacky/sticky but all the newer stuff isn't. Someone who follows his work closely since he started might know exactly when he switched, I couldn't tell you exactly when.

Ah yeah, back when I scored them. Good move eliminating the stick factor. Still not for me but it's good to see that tactile improvment. They'd hold onto dust like none other.

USPS delivered this in the snow/rain slush at 6:10pm. About an hour after it showed as delivered on my tracker. Hmm. HSP Damnedron. I'll take a picture of the toy when the lighting is better.

Don't worry... just like in jr. high, I'll eventually put out This was from the sale listing, but it doesn't do the piece justice.

Congratulations on scoring this, but I FUCKING hate seeing stuff sell fairly cheap on mandarake only to be JACKED the FUCK up on ebay a day or two later.
