I'm not saying you shouldn't be upset but a few notes
1- S7 has sold limited items secretly via emails to certain people for years. I can't say if they do NOW but they did, for some time.

2- The regular Camo Zags were sold direct from Gargamel at SDCC so they would be cheaper, no extra parties (even S7 charges more then Garg would direct, every toy retailer does), just them. I think the Camo Hedo's, the 1st release of these, were sold for $300+ by S7 on this board in the BST thread. It was the same thing, Kiyoka painted them, but as we were told on ALL camo releases took a long time, extra effort etc to paint hence the price increase and the low edition numbers.

3- The "SECRET EMAIL" was a situation, like a year or 2 back, where Greg ON THIS BOARD publicly stated to contact him (at the time) and he'd sign you up. It was pretty public, you just had to be reading the thread, it wasn't a secret really.

Then there's the argument "if they were sold publicly more flippers would have gotten them" then there's "yeah but WE'D ALL have a chance!" that's all something no one knows. It's such a boring and dead end argument.

Again, I'm not discrediting your frustration, but there were some things I felt needed being put out there in addition to your comments.

Wow man, I really dont know what to say. I am so sorry. How about this. I will sell these to you for LESS than I am paying Gargamel for. So basically I am going to PAY you to take this toy, just because you are such a nice guy. Cool?

As much as this is a Gargamel Zag, this release is for the Mishka fans.
If this super hyped up secret release was on anything else but a Zag, would you have complained openly about it for missing out?

Secrecy and hype? Get use to it. You've been collecting long enough to know that it's not something new.
It's definitely not something new to complain about. That's getting old in itself.

Couple corrections: S7 did sell some of the camo zags, and did not jack the price. Greg (excuse me, not Joel) comes to the board and places a picture of the "secret" zag release and no info. Info was NEVER posted in the thread, even after sell out. The objective of the picture obviously was to hype the sale at $375, not to provide info, even after the fact to collectors on the board.

And, Excuse me, but this is a thread on new gargamel releases, not a sales thread.

Joe, it is a Gargamel release through Mishka. How you can describe it as a release for Mishka fans is beyond me. It is rather a Mishka release for Gargamel fans. This makes a difference.

As for KC, in the past I have always been both personally and in my posts a supporter of you and KC. You know this. Lately though, it seems that info is held back purposely until after a sale just to placate the secrecy junkies on this board, which is hardly the majority. Either that, or I have misinterpreted your actions, and you have just posted things late. If that is the case, you have my apology.

If you post a picture to hype a sale, then even after the sale provide no info, that is what I have described as a hype sale. The picture was not provided to give info, since no info was given, just to stir interest and promote a quick sell out. And you are right: if this had been a Nag, I could have lived with it and probably would not say anything more. But, it is not, and this is one of the few toys that I collect without fail, so how it was handled and the lack of info screamed for some statement.
I did not call anyone names, and trust me, kept my posted thoughts well within the guidelines that Bryan has set for the board.
I really appreciate stores and artists that make an effort to inform and then at have a lottery if they think demand is high for a release, even when I enter and do not win. Even the Nag releases, or at least many of them, had that element. This was a post a picture, give no public info, sell your toy (that is the highest price for any zag run and the most limited at 10), then move on type of sale. I am not the only one who is greatly disappointed in this, trust me, but many will not post for obvious reasons.

But...What if it's Both!?!
