i'm not shocked at all really it is par for the course but it was really kind of out of left field... although for the record i have lived in albuquerque and back in baltimore off and on for years... and the crime here is in no way that bad compared to what i've seen there... plus the cost of living is way cheap I (we) live in a four bedroom three living room house in our downtown area for 1500 a month (split between four roomates utilities included) life in the ABQ is pretty good.

Do you ever go cold weather hiking? There's a place called Rio de Medeo, that has an awesome waterfall. In the winter the outer water freezes, but you can still see the water flowing in the middle of the ice, I know a lot of really good hiking spot's if anyone want's directions. I really liked the mountains by Espanola, as well as the Carson National Forest.

I've never been to Baltimore, but I've heard some wild stories.

As for my wants there soon to come but i figured an intro was the best way to make a first impression. And again the welcomes have been Awesome thank you!

Albuquerque may not be San Jose but i must say the food alone makes this city pretty special.... So dont believe all you hear. COME VISIT FIRST!
