Yeah, ~$1.2M for a C10 Voltes Jumbo is a typo. I wouldn't be shocked to see it break $10k though...given the Jumbo market these days...

That is not a typo Sanjeev. It is common practice for sellers to post Photos since they cannot after the auction starts. Putting the 1.2 million is a way to ensure no one bids on it.

I have seen it a half dozen times this past year.

So what is the point of a "seller" posting an auction at a price that insures no one will bid on it?

Is it just advertisement? Like, post the auction at an insanely high price just to let collectors know what you have...then just sit back and wait for people to dig up some cash and send private offers?

No, the seller has an existing active auction for the item, and just creates a second false listing with more photos. I've see someone do this recently for a Daiku Maryu JM. They created a second auction for 10 million yen and then a THIRD one for 100 million yen!! I guess it just becomes comical after a while.

The REAL auction for that toy ended at 852,500 yen.

OH....yeah, then no bid deal...nothing shady going on if there's a legit auction that's live...

Thanks for clearing that up guys.

I was actually thinking about placing a bid on this guy, as I really love Jamila. Totally surprised about the end price though. I know some of the rarer figure variations reach this and above, but I didn't think he fell in to that category.

 Guess we have different definitions of cheap then, lol. But then, you're talking to the guy who still expects gumball machines to be 25c, not two bucks. Ah well, just another figure I will have to settle on the B-Club version for. Damn this strong yen!

Cheap for what that toy use to cost. Still a lot of cash for a piece of vinyl.

TokyoBuyers, definitely. The guy who runs it is a buddy of ours ("ours" being the robot guys over at TBDX), and we all go through him. He's a solid dude.

Question, how long does this guy take to respond to emails normally? Sent him one first thing in the morning yesterday and still haven't heard back yet. Pretty sure I'm going to need a back up plan as I have a couple items in my sights that end in a few days.

He usually gets back to me within 24 hours. If he's on vacation or otherwise tied up, he usually sets an auto-response on his e-mail explaining his schedule. You should try e-mailing again, or contacting him through his website.

That is a sweet wind-up, but man, what a price tag. If I had something like that I could never enjoy it. I need to play with my toys.

These two helmets are too awesome not to share. This is the kind of everything everybody needs to see at least once. Man, how much I would love to rock one, even just for a second. And Zazahn, what a cooky guy to make a helmet out of. I am sure that one won't come up too often.

I forgot to post this in December:

Approximately $4,772! I take it that it's super rare (duh)?
