 Re: Giving Back
Oooookay, first 5 winners are finally done. There was some miscommunication on my part about the Grow In The Darkness gifts, but now that's straightened out. I think you guys are really going to dig those 5 gifts. Take a look at the first page to see what that's about.
The next 5 people in line have been contacted, and hopefully this next round will go quicker than the last. I'm hoping we can get through a few rounds tomorrow.
I'm off to bed. Night everyone!
PS - Connell, your Grody idea is STELLAR! Thanks so much for that! I definitely felt really bad when I saw a lot of the names that didn't make the cut, but knowing that some people are going to pass, others aren't going to respond, and that people like you are out there being awesome, it helps me to know that we're doing all we can to hook everyone up!
PPS - I know a few people wanted me to keep a list of the original donations after they've been claimed. I edited my second post in this thread a little bit down from the first post, and I'll be using that to keep a list of the stuff that's been claimed and no longer available.

 Re: Giving Back
Next round is done. Sending out messages to the next people in line here shortly.
Had a question from someone about people who pass their turn in line. I have it set up right now so that if someone passes, the whole line just gets bumped up. What do you guys think about the person passing their turn being able to pick someone else to take their turn?

 Re: Giving Back
I would say just move up the line. If the person that passes picks someone that's already a winner then it causes you all kinds of problems. Not to mention the next in line is out of luck again. Just my opinion, but you've done such a superb job putting this all together it's truly your call. Thanks again I REALLY hope this becomes a annual thing.

 Re: Giving Back
^^ I would say either just bump up the line, or if they really want to give their place to someone specifically, the two of them should switch places/numbers in line. That would probably go smoothly (I hope).

 Re: Giving Back
I'd prefer if someone ducks out, you draw another number. I would think that having winners (possibly) pick favorites as stand-in's would bring some drama or negative feelings.

 Re: Giving Back
I'd vote for adding the next name in line as well. And I vote to put a hold on the Dokuroman for me.

 Re: Giving Back
Thanks for all the feedback everyone, I think I'll just keep bumping it to the next person in line then. Seems fair.
The 3rd round of winners is wrapped up, and I just sent out a PM to the next 5 winners. If you guys have time, it would be great if you could take a look at the gifts and start picking out what you would want. That way when it's your turn, you can get back to me quickly.
Thanks all!

 Re: Giving Back
I've had my list all picked out for a while, but at position 117 I'm thinking I'll probably have to revise that before too long!

 Re: Giving Back
Hey TC! What do you think about removing the pics from first post as you add them to the claimed post - especially as time goes by it'll make selection that much easier. The claimed post could then just be pasted back up to the front once this grand project reaches it's conclusion.
Just a thought!

If you're in the hundreds, you'll drive yourself nuts trying to make a list now. I'm not gonna look again until my number comes up. Thank you James for setting this up. I feel pretty lucky to have made the list. I felt lucky just being nominated!

Then when that stuff is gone...

 Re: Giving Back
I think it's kinda cool that the clear pink Blowfish was one of the first five toys claimed. It may not be "heat" but it is a totally delightful little toy. Nice to seen an example of someone choosing something like that as opposed to something that might carry more perceived value. The best toy love is blind!
