Hirota-san decided to spoof King Kong vs Mechanikong in this pic. He gave the Mechanikong red eyes.

Anyways I think the sculpt looks a lot better from this angle. As much as I respect the homage being paid to Mechanikong I think this will really shine in a completely original paint scheme.

Love the new head. It looks very different to the old one but cant tell the different without looking at the old head.

Both heads rock in my opinion. I like the homage to the Bullmark colors. Hope that will be the first release. Like the red eyes also. Makes him look more angry vs crazy.

The new head certainly looks better with the eyes painted a contrasting color. I still like the older head better, but now I also appreciate the newer head.

I can't believe anyone thinks that the original head is "menacing" too. Like "oh the new one is goofy, but the original is mean!" Really? It's just as goofy to me, big swirly eyes and that nose especially. That's why I love it, so silly. I feel like Yakity Sax should be playing while it attacks anything.

Well, as far as all these goofy toys go, it looks MORE menacing. I think I figured out what it reminds me of - Jaws from James Bond mixed with Bob Hoskins...probably from Unleashed.

I had to go back and look at how I originally described the original head: villainous! Not menacing, villainous.

Ha, this head new sculpt has grown on me across the days. I'm starting to like it even more than the previous one (which remains awesome in my book). Those red eyes look great, way better than the previous ones. Looking forward to the colourways on this guy, I'd love to see a red or green vinyl release, along the lines of the previous Gorilla Ju's.

Wonder if he read this thread and changed the eye color because of it?

Is it just me, or maybe my laptop settings - but the new head makes him look cross-eyed and crazy. I like that they are taking chances creating a new head, but given a choice, I prefer the original head from both an eye and upper teeth row perspective.

Thought the new head on the mecha is good. Completely mecha. The old version had a little more "real" elements.
